Fairley demoted to second team defense

Wilson was/is throwing to Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, and Zach Miller. Don't try and sell us that he's got more on his side than Stafford.

39 turnovers, he can have any sure handed WR. Plus a better run game. Drives were not led by Wilson.

I'd take Tate and Baldwin over Burleson and Durham for sure.

Wilson didn't need a Calvin because he didn't need to throw it a ton. 39 turnovers and good run game.

And with Calvin, you are throwing into double coverage almost every time.

That's a complete and total unfair comparison. Calvin is worth more than Tate and Baldwin by himself. After that, it's all bonus.

You can't leave out Calvin and compare Tate/Baldwin vs Burleson/Durham. Doesn't work that way.

I'd take 2 solid receivers that can get open over 1 elite wr any day.

Well we have to separate paths on that one. Calvin is a once-in-a-lifetime WR. He demands doubles, sometimes triples. Doug Baldwin is an undrafted FA. For whatever reason, the Lions have rarely been able to find a guy to plug in and do more than was expected of him. It should be easy to find the next Doug Baldwin when you have a guy like Calvin who demands so much attention. That speaks more to the QB not making players better around him.

Might change my mind if CJ were to go down this year, cuz we would have those 2 solid receivers in Tate and Broyles. Btw, Broyles is going to play no less than 14 games this year, I'm calling it.

Calvin is doubled. Calvin changes how we are defended (opponents focus on the pass). This makes it harder for Stafford. Calvin's explosion and YAC makes it easier on the flip sid.e

Wilson doesn't need a Calvin with his run game and turnover support. He could have a monkey at WR and win.

I'd never say that CJ makes it harder on Stafford, lol. That's just silly. You might have a point if you said Stafford makes it harder on CJ.

But I thought Detroit was better than Seattle in all areas but the secondary? This thread is full of comments where you're bobbin' and slobberin' all over Seattle's defense and run game.

If opponents focus on the pass, the Lions have the great OL that you rave about and have the great Reggie Bush...why were the Lions ranked 17th in rushing yards and 22nd in yards per attempt?

Calvin missed 2, Bush missed a separate 2.5 and Waddle missed half the year.

Bush had 4.5 YPC. That's very good.

As though 2 games and 2.5 games make a huge impact on the overall season story. Come on man. The hell is half a game? Who counts that?

I think you know the answer to your question. Excuses for everything because he can't accept anything.

You know you are in over your head when you try and justify a bad season with half game injuries. What's if a player misses a quarter because he's banged up? Does that figure into the equation?

It shouldn't, because EVERY TEAM DEALS WITH IT. Who in the holy hell would consider a half freaking game of injury? Should I tell my employer I only worked 7.65 hours because I used the bathroom a few times?
