Fairley demoted to second team defense

Peterson on Calvin. Three three and outs not all on Stafford. Some pressure allowed, bad run game. One less drive than Arizona due to Levy pick 6. One FG drive that was blocked. Last drive, Stafford completed on 3rd and 4th, Burleson didn't do enough to get the first.

So the Lions were hurt by their defense scoring points?

Peterson did a good job in the second half, we had no run game and there was more pressure.

Lions weren't hurt. They had one less offensive drive than they would have though. Points were scored.

Since Levy did what the Lions offense couldn't do, it's pretty irrelevant and not worth bringing up.

It's one less drive to do something on offense. 6 total drives instead of 7.

Stafford earned a +1.5 grade on the day by the way.

Burleson and Pettigrew each had a drop. Bell had 3 drops.

Stafford was 24/36 on the day. 66%. With 5 drops. No ints. 2 TDs.

He did his job.

Arizona averaged 16.25 PPG given up at home last year.

21 with a blocked FG and a missed FG is doing your job. 20 potential points offensively.

Even if by some miracle the offense were to have scored on this mythical 7th possession...

6 empty drives on offense + 1 Interception return for a TD = 6 empty drives on offense + 1 mythical touchdown on offense

It's irrelevant.

I so can't wait to beat NYG, Tampa, at Arizona and at Minnesota this year. So much revenge.

And still beat Min at home and sweep Chicago again.

Then Buffalo, Miami, Green Bay home and at Jets.

11-5.

One blocked FG. And the problem wasn't Stafford. 66% with 5 drops.

Durham and Patrick Edwards played a good number of snaps in this game too. No Waddle at Right Tackle.

The monster first half should have been 17 not 14 (missed FG). And 3 in the second half plus the defensive TD should have been a Lions win.

That's 27 points on the road against a tough Zona defense.

With the non existent running game and poor play calling, I definitely didn't blame Stafford for that loss. I remember being pretty pissed at Linehan honestly.

If only potential won games. Alas, it never has and never will.

Wonderful. I don't know what that has to do with what I said. But wonderful.

Blame Akers and Idonije for whiffing on a block. Not the offense.

Akers and Idonije weren't responsible for the Lions going 3 and out several times and also fumbling in the 2nd half.

Cardinals didn't even have Fitzgerald for most of the game. Cardinals offense got it done in the 2nd half, Lions didn't.

Okay, let's take Levy's INT back and give the offense one more try..fair?

Lions offense got us in position for plenty of points. 20 offensively and 7 defensivley should be enough. Akers had 2 plays to get it done. 100% failure rate for him.

And the Lions defense didn't get it done allowing 25 points (22 long points, 3 on a short field).
