Anyone else notice how much more presidential the First Lady is behaving then her husband?

She's constantly contradicting him on social media lately, so much so that an un-named source says the West Wing wants to have her stay off social media unless they approve it first.

I hear there’s a compromise being negotiated - Cecily Strong will be videoed reading Melania’s communications (while doing her Melania impersonation), and they’ll be pre-approved because a) Trump likes Cecily Strong‘s impression, and b) everybody else (Melania) does too.

'Shove' is a bit strong for me but they definitely handled that poorly.

75 year old is in serious but stable condition. Was interesting to see the cops just walk on by and the National Guard behind them like "Dude...what the fuck?"

The two cops were immediately suspended without pay.

Buffalo police officers quit unit to protest colleagues' suspension: reports

(Reuters) - All 57 members of a police tactical unit in Buffalo, New York, have resigned from that team to protest the suspension of two colleagues who were filmed shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground, local media reported on Friday.

Two members of the Buffalo Police Department?s Emergency Response Team were suspended on Thursday and are being investigated after a local radio station released video of the incident involving the protester.

Local media quoted Buffalo Police Benevolent Association President John Evans as saying the officers were simply doing their job, and that their colleagues on the response team had resigned from the special unit to protest their treatment. The 57 remain police officers, local media said. Evans could not be reached for comment.

Umm...youre starting to prove you are not from this earth. Millions of people are protesting...in a normal situation with a normal president....now would be the time we all look to him for leadership and guidance. And instead of addressing the issue...he completely ignores it...and creates his own issue that is now overshadowing the peaceful protestors issue. Starts ranting about ANTIFA and God when people are tuning in to see if he will address the reason they are protesting. Nope! and you dont think that doesnt incite violence? You just pissed an entire race off even more than they were.

Did you see the speech. They had real time entire units of police working in a very planned manner to block off streets and move protestors. Dont give me this "unplanned" bullshit. If it was unplanned then why did they have flashbangs and tear gas? You dont think that incites violence. What world do you live in?

Ummm...you’re starting to sound a lot like bob making about as much sense with all these illogical conclusions, changing the subject and making wild accusations without ever addressing the facts. Not to mention making some pretty wild accusations - how exactly did I just piss off an entire race? Are you really that racist you think blacks people all think the same way?

You are not aware of your own power.

Every fuckin? black person on the entire planet - and the 14 of whom that are on international missions in outer space - just read your post, all at the same time.

And they....

are...

PISSED!

The collective rage is palpable.

It?s a palpable thing.

I literally explained it to you. He addressed the nation... and proved he didn't give a shit about anyone else's cause by creating his own. Again... if you don't understand that... that's on you.

Did you miss when trump was asked about systemic racism by a black reporter and he shushed him. You don't think that incites violence? Like finger up to the lips full on shushed him like a 2 year old.

The history of civil unrest in this country-the history I?m old enough to remember myself - definitely cuts across party lines as far as who was in power.

I remember the racial unrest of the 60s; I remember the riots in Detroit and across the country. The Democrats were overwhelmingly the majority party - and it wasn?t even close.

Hyperbole is fun.

The president did not declare war on America - at least, if I?m currently under siege, I?m completely unaware of it.

Now, it could be because I?ve been complying with curfew orders placed by my mayor, Garcetti - who is a Democrat.

Police deny that the action had anything to do with any photo-op. Are they lying? Don?t know. I do know that no one reporting that it was associated with a photo-op didn?t verify it with the police before reporting it - at least from what I?ve seen. I?ve talked about this in this thread earlier.

I don?t remember all of this-much of this is before my time-but I trust the source.

Have you ever been to visit the White House? My guess is you have; and if you have, and you don?t recall that there?s a fence around the White House, then... you?re right.

Your memory isn?t what it used to be.

Police never lie Lol ! Just one big lie fest from the President on down !

I doubt anyone will debate that Trump says stupid shit.

Yeah he lies day in and day out. Every day since he was elected. The guy is a complete waste of space , and if you and others can?t see how his words are dividing this country I just can?t Help you. Those blinders you guys have on are completely colored in GOP Red.

To be fair, they didn't quit. Not one of them. They resigned from the "emergency unit", but not from their daily jobs as police officers. Many media outlets are leading with the headlines about 57 of them quitting, but it's nothing like that.

A weak and useless display of mock solidarity towards officers who were rightfully put on leave following an investigation, guess they don't like the shoe being on the other foot.

Really?

That?s what you got from my post you quoted?

I?m pretty sure everyone here knows that police sometimes lie.

If you think the point I was trying to make was that police never lie, you would be doing me and everybody else here a favor to block me.

And maybe do yourself a favor and catch up on your cognitive reasoning skills with this:

Tough to be a cop these days - any chance Derek Chauvin could meet the same end as Jeffrey Epstein?

That would probably calm down a lot of shit.

Where the fuck is Billary when the country really needs them?

Meanwhile, LA Mayor Garcetti refers to his own police department - who guard his personal residence 24/365 - as “killers.“

I thought it was pretty clear in the Reuters article I posted. Maybe Reuters has become liberal smut like the AP. I can't tell any more.

No, you didn?t. You want on some crazy tangent where you made a bunch of crazy logical leaps then provided a bunch of anecdotes that you think prove your point. I?m starting to think Bob is ghost writing your posts.

No, I didn?t and no I don?t and if you think it does, you?re out of your mind.

Did anyone see that the Minneapolis police Union is working to get all 4 cops including Chauvin reinstated because they were fired without due process? Despite what race relations and mob psychology experts like Hughes say, the issue IS a few bad apples, not institutionalized racism and unions make it nearly impossible to get rid of bad cops - they literally have to murder someone and even then the Union makes it hard to get rid of them. But sure, blame republicans and Trump and let the real problem fester, this election is too important and we can’t let this crisis go to waste.

Dems already threw away presidential election if Biden is their guy.

Wow.

They?re even fighting for the black guy?s job.

Wow.

They’re even fighting for the black guy’s job.

Despite multiple allegations of using excessive force, not only were Chauvin and Tao not only not fired, they weren’t disciplined, demoted or or taken off of patrol, they were freaking training officers for crap’s sake. But that’s probably because of Trump and has nothing to do with their union which is clearly not too powerful. They’re probably fighting for the black Gus job too because at times like this, solidarity is more important than their institutionalized racism.

Sounds like one of the rookie trainees may have a reasonable defense - apparently he asked twice if they should put Floyd on his side and both times training officer Chauvin said no.
