Game 15: Lions @ Bears Thread

Benefactors of an easy schedule. I hope they go into Lambeau next week and completely embarrass Green Bay but I just don't see them having a chance next week and they'll be one and done in the playoffs. I sure hope I'm wrong.

Oh, and since 1993, that same period, six Wild Card teams have advanced to the Superbowl, which is one less than the number of #1 seeds who have advanced to the SuperBowl.

So your argument is a group of 84 teams has advanced almost as much as a group of 42. Gotcha.

Look I agree with all of you about the offense being new and and all, its just that they ain't got time for that, they may not have another year if suh leaves that defense may not be as good next year without him. I guess I keep thinking this is the best shot the lions have had at making a super bowl run since 1991 and that its now or never then I see the offense and go uggggg almost every week lol.

If tim tebow. An win a playoff game we can too! That team won games in similar fashion

but our tim tebow makes a ton of money and is handicapping this team financially. Also, Denver got rid of their tim tebow and upgraded the qb position which improved their team for the next half decade.

When you said "ain't got time for that" talking about the offense it reminded me of that video.

Week 16 linehan has that Dallas offense firing on all cylinders, Lombardi bleh, blah, puke, hurl..damit Joe what have you done to the offense ya turned it into a shell of its former self

Romo>Stafford
Murray>Lions RB
Dallas Oline>Detroit Oline

Which must mean
Jerry>Mayhew

This final one is scary.

People.... they just snapped a very long losing streak today... and all some care to do is bitch about the poor offense???

They fucking broke a bad streak! AND they did it playing a poor game!!! They have to be pretty good overall. Every team has poor outings. Hell, the Pats played pretty bad vs Jets today. The good teams overcome and win. What was turnover differential? How many bad penalties? They overcame major costly mistakes and won. Previous Lions teams never did that.

When we play in five Super Bowls a decade we'll be a bit less tense.

But that's just it.... we are used to losing, we should be immune to that emotion by now. What we are not used to is winning, so be thankful for the win and recognize the positives.

They were a -3 in turnovers until Bears final desperation play on offense, so essentially -3 in TO is what they were for the game. Every Lions TO had an impact on score, whether by Bears scoring or Lions not scoring. They had a personal foul late in the 3rd quarter that resulted in a Bears TD for the lead. They were only 5 of 13 on 3rd down, and had to twice convert on 4th down to sustain drives. Patter missed a FG that could have been a deciding miss and Lions loss.

Bears had their share of mistakes too, but how many games have Lions won with a -3 TO stat? How many times do the SOL lose games like this. Toss in the cold game losing streak on top of that.

This team is different, and this VICTORY proves that even better than a 70-0 blowout could have, because the Bears have had many problems of late and everyone would have just said 'yeah, but it was the Bears'. Today, they defeated their usually worst enemy, themselves.

No, SOL lost these games EVERY time, which proves they are NOT. Good teams overcome challenges and win. Period. Look at Pats vs Jets today.

if you guys think we can hold teams to under 20 points a game in the playoffs this year ....

...you just keep thinking that I guess is all I can say.
