$47.91M
That?s without resigning Tate.

Beautiful.
I honestly think Tate is gone. I don't see this organization paying a 30 yr old top WR money.
The #Lions defense has sacked the opposing QB a total of 17 times for 124-yards lost -- most yards lost from sacks in the #NFL.

Pretty shocking stat considering we knew they had no pass rush. But it probably says more about our secondary. We were first in pass defense going into the GB game (now 6th) and Rodgers had all day to throw way too many times. Rarely do we ever see front 7 get to the QB in a hurry.
I think not bringing Tate back would be a HUGE mistake IF JBC comes back. JBC?s offense, as much as I don?t like it (unless he gets way more aggressive) is a really good fit for Golden Tate.
Id offer him a 4 year, $40M deal with $15M guaranteed (really a 2 year) that is pretty front end loaded and leaves the Lions in good position in 2 years. Win/Win in my opinion.
I think 15m would be too low for Tate, for him (his opinion). He catches 90+ consistently. Maybe his last good payday. I think he'd want more than 15 guarantee.
Tate...What he does after the catch is not replaceable, period! pay the man!
Probably true but that one is going to hurt this offense. He's the guy who always makes guys miss. He can take a harmless short throw and turn it into a big play. He's just not easily replaceable.
I’d go as high as $10M/year....but he is over 30 and those 90+ catch years take a toll.
