Beautiful.
I honestly think Tate is gone. I don't see this organization paying a 30 yr old top WR money.

Probably true but that one is going to hurt this offense. He's the guy who always makes guys miss. He can take a harmless short throw and turn it into a big play. He's just not easily replaceable.

The #Lions defense has sacked the opposing QB a total of 17 times for 124-yards lost -- most yards lost from sacks in the #NFL.

Pretty shocking stat considering we knew they had no pass rush. But it probably says more about our secondary. We were first in pass defense going into the GB game (now 6th) and Rodgers had all day to throw way too many times. Rarely do we ever see front 7 get to the QB in a hurry.

Yeah I think you are right Tony. Hate to see him go. Would love for him to be here when we win the super bowl in 2019 or 2020.. Maybe he will take a slight discount to stay but at 30 he probably deserves to get paid . Hell of a Yak wide receiver. Going to miss him if he goes .

I think not bringing Tate back would be a HUGE mistake IF JBC comes back. JBC?s offense, as much as I don?t like it (unless he gets way more aggressive) is a really good fit for Golden Tate.

Id offer him a 4 year, $40M deal with $15M guaranteed (really a 2 year) that is pretty front end loaded and leaves the Lions in good position in 2 years. Win/Win in my opinion.

Matt finding ways to get to the qb. Hand has been fantastic since ziggy has been hurt. I actually think part of the game plan was bend but don’t break and try to hold the Packers to a few field goal attempts . I know it’s the goal of all defensive to do this but the Patriots under Bill and Patrica were great at this. I really do think once Matt gets his type of players in the system the defense will get real good. I am reading Belichick right now and I bet we draft some really big run stuffers next season and keep filling in the needs on defense with athletes, and cast offs with something to prove.

On offense losing Tate will suck but what a freaking great draft Kenny G. is on offense. The book talks about getting guys who will buy into the system, and the Patriots ran gruesome camps to get guys in shape . I hope the guys buy in. I want winning so bad for the Lions . It would be so much fun to have a Red Wings type stretch for the Lions and fuck the national media narrative on Lions Football. I know you guys know what is mean.

I think 15m would be too low for Tate, for him (his opinion). He catches 90+ consistently. Maybe his last good payday. I think he'd want more than 15 guarantee.

You?re probably right. Just takes one team to overpay. I?d go as high as $10M/year....but he is over 30 and those 90+ catch years take a toll. But he?s still making guys look stupid after the catch.

Tate...What he does after the catch is not replaceable, period! pay the man!

I would love for him to stay but he's going to get paid. We have the money so I'm kinda leaning toward signing him. Going to be a tough call for Quinn...
