it's crazy how overwhelmingly voters passed some very progressive/liberal ballot initiatives (minimum wage increases, medicinal marijuana, etc.), and yet, the GOP won a lot of races in these same states. it's obvious if you spell out the choices and benefits simply for voters, they act rationally... you confuse the hell out of them with campaign ads, racism, etc., and they don't. shows the power of out-spending and confusing voters with bullshit issues.

I love them..and even more because you hate them.

I knew the outcome and didn't bother watching... Its depressing like Champ says. So all I did was post to myself on the Wings board watching them struggle to score.. Nothing ever changes in this country for the better unless you have tons of money.. Soon the republicans will have my zone redistrict so I have to drive 1000 miles to my voting place.
Hopefully we can keep the party of No out of the Whitehouse in 2 years.. I wonder now that they control the senate if they will filibuster themselves over and over again... Maybe they will get confused because they used it so much on Obama... It really sucks because if one of the old fuckers on the supreme court croak we will never be able to get a left or middle Judge in my lifetime.. We have already had to many terrible decisions by Robert's court.. Yup Obama was elected and the republicans have tried to block just about everything Obama has tried.. McConnell is just a piece of crap..

I think it's time to amend the Constitution to limit the president to one six-year term. Same with Senators. One and out. Congresspersons get two four-year terms. And this will not be popular, but Senators should be appointed by the state legislatures and not elected by popular vote. The 17th amendment should be repealed.
