Khalil Mack on the trade blocks

Not stars on that list?? Are you high?

I was a little harsh but I consider stars the very best at their positions. Top 2 or 3. I'll give you Lomas, Moore, and Spielman. They were all very good borderline great players. Lomas was probably the only one who was top 3 at his position.

Utley, Bush, & Buerlson...no way. Bush was washed up, Burlson was never good

Not at all. His complaint was that they asked for money from his signing bonus back. Which a LOT of teams do when players retire.....you just don?t hear about it because not everyone is Calvin Johnson.

He was treated like royalty as an employee. Was made the highest paid player in the league......never had to hold out...and he could have built a brand of his own here.....it just wasn?t his thing.

Because the Lions didn?t win does NOT mean he was treated like shit. Those are two separate things. The Fords are/we?re know as owners the players liked.

100%! This treated like shit shtick is a joke. CJ kept his mouth shut for 9 yrs as a Lion. Now he's barking like a dog that he was mistreated? He can go fuck his hat lol.

I agree on Bush and Burleson but they were still guys that produced

I don't think I have ever heard of a player under contract with Team A leaving training camp to go meet with the GM of Team B.

I'm not saying the Raiders and Lions can't be talking, but there's no way Mack is meeting with Quinn on Monday, and no chance he's not in training camp right now. He's not a free agent, the Raiders would have to give permission for that meeting to happen, and they ain't doing that in the last week of preseason.

What about if they were trying to work on a sign and trade? That's the only circumstance I can think of. I figured it was BS from the start but it was a quiet night.

Just broke on sportscenter that he was traded to the Bears. Well that didn't go well for us.

Sigh . Lions need a player like Mack. now we probably split with the bears.

The Chicago Bears reached a record-setting six-year, $141 million extension with Khalil Mack on Saturday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, after acquiring the pass-rusher from the Oakland Raiders earlier in the day.

Mack becomes the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. The deal, which averages $23.5 million per season, includes $90 million in guaranteed money and $60 million at signing, a source told ESPN.

The Bears gave up first-round picks in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019 to acquire Mack earlier Saturday, a source told ESPN. In return, the Bears also received s a second-round pick in 2020 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2020.

The deal eclipses the record for a defensive player set just one day earlier, when the Los Angeles Rams signed Aaron Donald to a six-year extension worth $135 million, including $87 million guaranteed.

The $90 million in guaranteed money for Mack, the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is about $20 million more than Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is currently being paid.

Lol we could be the 4th best team in our own division now.

If Trubisky plays well there's a good chance that the Lions finish 4th in the division. They added some playmakers on offense, added one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

Their defense was 10th in the NFL last year. They add Mack and the Roquan Smith....they could easily be top 5
