Khalil Mack on the trade blocks

Stafford was sacked an average of ~3x per game last season, which was in the bottom quarter of all teams in the NFL, and up by 1/2 sack from '16. I figure that the Lions will pick more on D in the purportedly stacked '19 draft, unless their Oline doesn't show improvement this season. If their run game also improves like it should, especially in the redzone, then all the better for his sake.

I've seen nothing to suggest the run game will be any better than it was last year.... definitely not good enough to control games, help against the pass rush, open up the pass game etc etc.

Would you trade Davis and ragnow for khalil mack... answer the question instead of crying "why do you even watch...wahhhhh wahhhh wahhhh."

The answer is no but you're talking about the 20th and 21st overall draft picks for the 2016 defensive player of the year. Find me another team that picked in the bottom half of 2017 and 2018 who's picks would have been enough to get Mack. Your question is irrelevant because it's using criteria that no team can meet.

And do you think we will be drafting top 10 the next 2 years? Again...if your answer is no then 2 first rd draft picks isn't a big deal. That's all i was referring to.

Yes the money is alot... but we're paying a piece of shit like ansah close to 20 mil.... might as well pay someone good that much.

The bears gave up 2 first round picks... that's the crap the lions get with their first round picks. Not my fault... blame quinn if you think it's such a joke.

Blame Quinn for what??? Davis is in his second yr but of course a moron like yourself has completely labeled him a bust lol.

I have. We seem to draft well inside the top 5ish. It gets fuzzy after that.. I always thought a C in round 1 is not the right move, especially when the defense is always poor. I hope they become good players I just don't see it. We always have a better offense than defense even with no running game so work on that D sometimes.. I'm tired of 9-7 borderline playoffs.

You hope Ragnow and Davis become good players but you don't see it??? YOU DON'T EVEN WATCH THE GAMES!!!

Wtf don't you see???? Lol

Lmao. Of course you haven't. Those 4 USELESS PRESEASON games were sooooooo telling lol. Blount isn't an improvement, Kerryon Johnson sucks and Ragnow is garbage. Is that about right you fucking troll??

So, do you think the Raiders would have accepted Ragnow and Davis for Mack?? Because you know, they are 2 first rd picks. That's no big deal, right???

And you'd be crying like a bitch in here if the Lions gave up 2 first rd picks. You're fooling nobody

Wake up...

I think trading two first, getting back a second and Mack is a deal that most teams would jump at if they could afford the financial aspect of Mack.

A top 5 player in the league is far more valuable than you will likely get out of two first.

Jim Bob isn't Quinn or Patricia's guy for OC. If he can't utilize the additions to the O on the line and backfield, then he will probably gone later or after this season, and he might well be anyway, regardless. Ragnow and KJ are rookies yet to play a down in a regular season game, and Blount looked pretty good in very limited action during the preseason. How about letting them play a half-season at least, until you pass your cynical judgement...lolz.

I was listening to somebody on XM radio and they explained it like this.

If Mack were in the draft next year would he be the #1 pick? Probably, since he is a proven all pro. So the Bears used their 1st round pick in 2019 to select Mack. They kicked in a 2020 1st, 3rd and 6th in exchange for a 2nd to move up to #1 to select him.

I think the Bears are the winners and it isn't even close.

I don't see that many teams in the future being able to afford these ever increasingly large sums of contract. The NFL is in slow decline.

Yeah but TV contracts keep going up. Fox just paid 3.3 billion over 5 years for the Thursday night game. Which was around a 33% increase over the previous Thursday night deal. Cap is tied directly to league revenue, so I don't see the cap going down at all. Could be a big spike up next year.

Someone understands my point. Thank God. I should have known tony would have a hard time following such a complex trade that involves more than 1 pick!

That's my point exactly!... who cares about the picks. Mack is worth it. The money would have been the lions issue... quins fault for paying a bum like ansah like a top 5 guy.

Not to worry, as Republicans in Congress are busy working on yet another round of permanent tax-cuts for business....and regardless of if or whether or not every business is truly deserving of the first cut, much less another one.

Besides...the corporate mantra of privatize profits, socialize losses also works in the entertainment industry when they want new digs. Plus their media broadcasters' advertisers pass on their costs to consumers via their products and services, so even those who aren't sports fans still wind up indirectly subsidizing them.

oh! that's a relief.

The Bears' season ticket office phone-banks probably lit up like xmas trees, once word got out that they had signed Mack.

that could be, I say they finish 2nd behind the Vikings this year.

Vikings
Bears
Packers
Lions

Nothing complex about it lol. I totally understand the trade but some teams are not willing to gamble like the Bears did.
You talk out of your ass and make it seem like it's so simple. Ragnow and Davis for Mack.....derrrrrrrp. Stfu lol. You're already throwing a 2nd yr player and a rookie in the garbage heap because your football intelligence is equivalent to a child lol.

Tony..bro lol. I don't want to trade Davis and ragnow...at all. I was just saying that's basically the value you get when you give up 2 first round picks. Ofcourse the raiders wouldn't ever do that deal. But that's kind of my point... the picks shouldn't matter when you're getting a talent like mack and a 2nd rounder back.
