Leshoure on his way out?

i believe shaun Rodgers was the last quality rd 2 pick we had. what was that...13 years ago? lol.

Shaun Rodgers
Dom Crayola
Boss Bailey
Teddy Lehman
Shaun Cody
Daniel Bullocks
IAF
Gerald Alexander
Jordan DIzon
Delmas
Titus Young
Mike L Lesuss
Broyles

...what a bunch of losers that bunch is lol. If I was starting a team today....id want just about none of them...ever.

Yeah cuz Broyles is terrible. How bout we wait till at least the end of his 2nd season before you determine whether he was a quality pick.
Drafting a receiver that broke multiple records in college sounds like a bad pick to me too, lol. We all know you hated the Ansah pick as well, hows that working out for you??

You can add Jahvid Best to that list. We traded away a 2nd and change to move up into the 1st for him.

And the Lions made it into the playoffs for the first time in over a decade because of what he did during the first 5 games of the season. Without him Lions went 5-6. Sucks his career was cut short but that guy was a playmaker and concussions leading to early retirement are going to become the norm.

Well Ansah's actually a first round pick, but I get what you're saying. hughes is nothing more than a bitter, jaded Lions fan. There's a lot of them out there. They don't love the team any less, they just have someone pissing in their Cheerios on a daily basis. His name is William Clay Ford.

Comes with the territory of being a shitty franchise for so long. One of my good friends, who constantly complains about how shitty we are, says he misses the old days of zero expectations. Not because he could bitch more, but because he gets more disappointed now that we have talent and it doesn't pan out. Back then he expected losses and if they won it made his day...now it's kind of the opposite.

Ive been a fan since the early 90s, so its not like I havent had alot of frustrating years as a fan. I just look at some of the players Hughes listed that have had injuries that have either ended their careers or have plagued them. Imo injuries are a big part of the game, and I dont look down on them because of something they cannot control.

i loved the ansah pick. I loved Xanders' entire draft this year. I did, however, suggest we take a cb in rd 1 (milliner) due to how much DE depth their was in the draft and i wasnt sure of the quliaty of cb we would get in rd 2. Im perfectly happy with the way it turned out. 2 needs met. 2 quality future starters.

To hughesy's defense some of those guys had known injury histories or were project players like Five-O, where maybe we reached or should have avoided them all together. Not saying I necessarily agree with him, but just giving perspective. It does seem like we get hit with it more than other franchises...it's either bad luck, bad decisions, or a combo of the two. During the Millen years probably more bad decisions than anything else, but I do feel like we've been one of the unluckier franchises...

Utley, Billy Sims, Reggie Brown, Andolsek...and hey even Chuck Hughes...maybe that's the big issue...Willie Clay Ford is responsible for the death of a relative?

Captain Hindsight strikes again!!

Guys like Delmas, Lehman, Bailey, Young, Rogers were all promising young players. Real easy to make a list of any teams 2nd rd picks because a lot of them dont pan out.

And its wayyyyy too early on guys like Broyles and Leshoure to pass judgement just yet.

What? :lmao:

You don't win a draft on draft day. Its later on and the Lions have done poorly. Who cares about promise, promise to who - you, media, our coaches? :lmao:

Side edit: Too early on Mike L.? Dude doesn't even play. Healthy scratch.

Leshoure doesnt play because Bell is better. That hard to understand? Nothing against Leshoure, Bell just fits how the Lions play more than Leshoure does.

And apparently Riddick as well..

Riddick is a pass catcher, so with Bush not playing Riddick is the guy that sees more pt. Leshoure is still a great alternative if Bell goes down. If Bush is healthy and Bell goes down do you think Leshoure or Riddick will dress? Im thinking Leshoure

All year I've been hearing how good of a year he had last season and the TD he scored. Its a wasted 2nd round pick when the only way to play is if a certain RB gets injured.

Also, LKP err I mean KDP, its not like Mike L. Can't catch a pass, he caught over 30 last season. And Riddick is before him?

I dont think he had a good year at all. He didnt do much on the drives that lead to those short td runs, that was all staff and cj. Just saying if Bell goes down, Leshoure will get the call not Riddick. Need a short yardage guy dressed at all times imo.

Lions are so fucking stacked at RB, a talented 2nd round pick is the 4th string. Great job Mayhew.

Then you agree that LeShoure was a horrible 2nd round pick.

No I dont, I still want to see what he has a year removed from his achilles injury. Bell just outplayed him to steal his job. I actually agree with LKPs coolaid drinking ass on this one. The Lions have depth at RB

I must be seeing a different Bell than you guys. Outside of one play where he ran over the Redskins' D, and who couldn't, I haven't seen him do much.
