Lions 2019 Draft

First 2 picks in the draft should be 2 bookend DEs....

Need a 3-4 DE opposite Hand and a Rush LB. Hand and Snacks should be locks to start next year. Technically you could go Hand, Robinson, Snacks if Robinson every gets his head out of his ass.

But definitely need someone that can rush the qb consisently....the Kennard, Harold, Okwara crap should be done. Move Kennard back to LB opposite our new Rush LB.

Robinson has been playing well this year. He's ranked higher than Hand as a DT.

Robinson, Snacks, Hand wouldn't be a bad front. LBs need at least 2 then. One more ILB and a rush OLB. CB2, nickel and possibly free safety. They could have up to 60 million with the right cuts (Lang, Quin, Lawson, Wilson, Jones etc)

2019 NFL draft first-round order: 49ers would be on the clock if the season ended today.

For the record....

They better not draft this kid. 10 sacks in 3 yrs @ Michigan. No thanks...

Dont really follow college football as closely as the NFL. But from what I've seen, I really like Winovich, but I've only seen him a few games, and highlights. Does this guys motor run hot full time like his highlights portray? If so, I want this guy to be a Lion. Looks like one hell of a ball player, and gritty/tough as nails

I think gary and winovich both would be good fits for our defense. Gary would be a 3-4 de... big and athletic that can play well vs the run and apply pressure. He wouldn't need to be the huge sack guy... you get that from the rush lb in this defense. Winovich will play olb in the NFL.

Gary has a good head on his shoulders (think anti Suh) and commanded double teams all year. My worry is that in the NFL he won't need to be double teamed and still won't be productive enough to be a top 1st round pick. I think if he didn't have that '#1 recruit' title there would be less hype on him.

I hope I'm wrong, I'm just nervous about the Lions being able to develop a guy that has a lot of room to improve. Hand is looking really good though, who knows?

I think Winovich falls some during the pre draft process...He was a fringe late first round projection at one point. I see him falling to the 3rd-4th rounds.

The kid is non-stop and is just a pure football player. I love the kid....

He falls to the 3rd and some team is getting an absolute steal...

If the Lions are drafting a DE, that DE better do everything well. I don't want a kid in the 1st rd that is great at 1 thing and decent at the rest of his game...
