I don't know about Winovich.... I feel like he has definlty regressed a bit this year... About half as many sacks and 6 less TFL and it seems like he's been super quiet lately... He had 3 sacks in his first 5 games and then 1.5 in the next 7... Played well in the first game vs a tough ND team but was almost non existent in a blow out vs OSU when they NEEDED him to get pressure on Haskins and take him off his spot... At 6-3 255 is he big enough to play DE effectively in the NFL? Lots of question marks with him IMO but can see him being taken early on the second day but NO way in the first... I could be completely off base and he could go out and blow up the combine and cement himself as a 1st rounder, but I just don't see it happening. IMO I'd much rather have Gary in the first over Chase but he may be a top 10 pick and we may pick in the teens.... Hell I think I'd even take Bush in the 2nd over Winovich, but that's because I love Bush and think he's going to be a beast.

Winovich will be a rush lb in a 3-4... that's all his size will allow him to be. There's guys like Josh Allen and montez sweat that will easily go ahead of him... then he will have like 4 guys he will need to beat out in the combine at the position.

Josh Allen for me. I watched him a couple times this year....he’s an athlete freak WITH a football IQ.

Allen fits the mold of what it seems Lions are looking for....can play 3-4 or 4-3 and be a star in both systems. Gives more flexibility.

Plenty big enough and he's an athtlete. He'll be playing LB in the pros with some giddyup to the QB. I hope he gets scooped up by the D in the 2nd rd. He could very well blow up at the combine tho. I still see him going in the 2nd.

I would be upset if we pass on Allen. I?d have to think they?d give Tracy Walker a shot to play next to Diggs.

I do love Allen...but consider how many front 7 guys are projected 1st rounders. Theres going to be a GRIP of round 1 talent that falls to us in rd 2. Check out Polite from Florida, Montez Sweat, and a dark horse Oshane Ximines as great rd 2 edge rushers. Thats not even including a guy like Winovich.

Im leaning toward grabbing Greedy Williams at cb in rd 1. To your point put Walker in at S. Slay, Williams, Walker and Diggs is just so much better than the crap weve had out there this year.

I love me some Greedy. That kid can flat out ball. I would still love to see that EDGE rusher tho. Allen is a beast but he's a top 3 talent. Lions could end up easy in the top 3. Bosa is a dream lol

I don’t hate your idea.....and if that’s the way it went down it would be fine with me. However, the reason I would definitely go Allen is the way we call a game defensively. As much as I hate it, we play that stupid bend but don’t break, rarely bring pressure coverage defense. If we are going to continue to do that, I’d rather have guys that can get to the quarterback because that is going to be a bigger difference maker. Even Slay is having trouble covering for 4-6 seconds every damn play. As good as Greedy is and as much fun as I imagine having that name on the roster would be .... I don’t imagine Williams would be super successful here if we can’t get to the QB on a more consistent basis.

Clowney and Allen for me. Big name FA and stud rookie as our DE’s and grab a good corner either in the 2nd or in FA
