Meyer Retiring

I'm not seeing pro Urban high road talk. The case being made is that Harbaugh isn't the angel most uofm fans think he is and they should get off their high horse. At least that's the way I'm reading the posts.

The point was made by comparison, claiming that Harbaugh would be taking it a step further than where Urban was.

...and then to round out the list of Harbaugh's non-angelic behavior, not talking to the press after a loss is included.

I have no idea what happened after the osu game pressers except Michigan was embarrassed and Jim said as much right after the game. I know your taking a shot here but make sure you do your homework on Tre$$el and Meyer. Your pissed about something just make sure it is directed at the right place.

Question
What?s the difference in Jim hiring family and friends, and keeping Good old boy coaching staff together like Mark at MSU ? Don?t all coaches hire family and friends in both pro and college?
Staffs are littered with firends and family
Also didn?t Mississippi break the rules not Michigan ? Last I checked that was the case. Heck the whole SEC has a advantage over the northern schools. I?m shocked teams in cold weather get as many recurits as they do with th built in advantages the SEC has.

Oh and btw I hate that dumb ass Harbugh keeps snagging Grad-transfers and I have been on record saying so. I think McCaffery should have started last season. Then Patterson never would have come to Michigan but that is just me.

Patterson is not a grad transfer

McCaffrey would have been broken in half last season, then who would be playing QB?

Come on, Bob.

I thought the point of that was to point out what a douche harbaugh is, something uofm fans refuse to admit but virtually everyone else sees. The guy is a complete douchebag, but he's a "michigan man" kinda douchebag which is ok with the fan base. He's uofm's Donald Trump and the fans are his basket of deplorables.

No. We get that he has flaws. We know that he's a bad sport, and waaaaay more than an adult should be. But to point to that to justify saying he's taking it further than Meyer?

that's definitely not true. virtually everyone who commented on the uofm players' pregame actions at MSU and harbaugh's response were favorable of both the players and harbaugh - that's not to say everyone here was in favor or defended it, but those who weren't were silent on it.

I don't want to rehash this argument, I only bring it up to make the point that clearly, not everyone knows he's a bad sport and waaay more than an adult should be.

no, you're the douche bag spartanmack. something virtually everyone on the board agrees with, but you refuse to see.

even in the revenue sports...probably only 10%-15% have the skill to make it to the next level. The majority of the remaining players are probably perfectly happy to get their free education in exchange for playing a game.

Yep. Just a game. Not risking their entire livelihood or anything.

Did I say you couldn't get hurt playing a game? It happens all of the time...at every level. I'm certain that every college football player knows that it's possible that something like that could happen. It's a calculated risk.

You're probably misreading things on that too. It's not that things were perfect on the Michigan side, it's that the MSU actions were worse, warranting the fine. You can think Harbaugh is a bad loser AND MSU was in the wrong that day.

Grade transfer or transfers who cares.. You don’t know that. He may not have either .
We were 8-5 last year he would have been just as good as that. I stand by my opinion. I understand I guess going after The first transfer but sooner or later you have to roll the dice with who you recruit. It is a waste looking for qb transfers . Who is going to be the next guy to leave Michigan?

I don't see a lot of programs hiring friends and family of recruits to secure their recruitment, the first time I've heard of it in the big ten was when Michigan was trying to sign a transfer CB from Stanford, then it was Chris Partridge when UM was recruiting Rashan Gary, then it was Devin Bush Sr getting hired after his son committed, then it was Michael Johnson Sr, etc.

The NCAA didn't anticipate this kind of rule bending and is looking to make changes to prevent it in the future. It's somewhat hypocritical to call Meyer shady just because you've lost 15 out of 16 or something like that.

Also, as far as MSU, beating us for the 3rd time in 11 years by 14 points (most since 2005) really isn't "crushing us again."

quite a delusional world you live in Bob[/QUOTE

We are talking history now !!! Wow that is a change from MSU fans !

And Mark is not a complete asshole? Give me a break . I have bashed Jim plenty of times, and do not like a lot of the shit he does but really. Meyer, Jim, Mark all have issues .

No, just questioning your rationale as far as "crushing us again." I would figure you'd have to crush us once in the last 10+ years for you to invoke "crushing us again" as if winning by 14 is crushing someone. We beat Indiana by 14 on the road, I certainly don't think we crushed Indiana.

Such bullshit. No blame on MSU, they don’t have adults either to get the time right for both teams on the field. Did you see that asshole coach form MSU smiling and loving every minute of that line with Bush. Because he was.

I know a few UF fans here who are still "disappointed" with the way Meyer left the program to "be with his family" and then ended up as an ESPN personality and was never home on the weekends before he took the O$U HC position.

And Harbaugh conducted a 7:00 presser after the OSU game, so what's this claim he ducked the questioning? He was more obtuse than Worden Norton, but he did not send a proxy.

Dylan was like 165 pounds last year. He might've ended his career last year with the way that line was. He got hurt this year and he didn't even play very much. He needed to get bigger and stronger. He wasn't ready to start as a true freshman and neither was Joe Milton.

Please get over the grad transfer QB/transfer QB thing. It was the best thing for the Michigan program. Now I think that we won't see anymore of them.
