Meyer Retiring

You've managed to meander way off topic without ever setting foot on a correct point. I don't know if I should follow where you've gone (an event where Harbaugh wasn't present and MSU's coach was) or try to go back to this being about a comparison of Harbaugh to OSU coaches.

being present has no bearing on who acted and/or responsed to those actions like a douchebag and citing the reason and providing an example for why uofm fans frequently draw the wrong conclusion about anything harbaugh/uofm related (that reason being their sense of entitltement) isn't meandering off topic.

It's off topic when the topic is Meyer's retirement and somebody's claiming Harbaugh is worse than an OSU coach with 3 attempts at examples. Shoehorning this thing about MSU into the conversation (rather than working with the other 3 examples) and then repeatedly claiming you don't want to rehash the example you're trying to shoehorn in is a weird thing to do.

I'll take it

IF it comes

No kidding. It sucks that Meyer is getting out of there undefeated, but I want a) to beat OSU, and b) for OSU to be as good as possible while we beat them. The Cooper years are the ideal.

it's an example and I'm not rehashing it. Why would I work within the confines of those 3 examples when I already said I interpreted his comments differently? I'm not saying Harbaugh has taken anything a step further than Meyer. That's what I meant when I said:

I'm not seeing pro Urban high road talk. The case being made is that Harbaugh isn't the angel most uofm fans think he is and they should get off their high horse. At least that's the way I'm reading the posts.

and:

I thought the point of that was to point out what a douche harbaugh is, something uofm fans refuse to admit but virtually everyone else sees...

Then you said something along the lines of uofm fans all know and acknowledge he is more unsportstmanlike than a man his age should be (by the way, do you have an age based scale for acceptable levels of sportsmanship - you can ignore the question if it's too far off topic). That's why I posted that example - as evidence that it's definitely not true that all uofm fans acknowledge that fact. That's not off topic. And I'm not rehashing it - as you can see, I didn't respond to bob's comment about the incident.

Great now the thread is off topic about being off topic. So I will restore its intergity. (The University of) Notre Dame Football Program Sucks.

Well, you just made the thread off topic about being off topic about being off topic, and now I just went and made the thread off topic about being off topic about being off topic about being off topic.

It's not that I don't get what you're trying to say. I just disagree with it. Pulling in another example where you can add you talking about your own team to the collections of biases involved doesn't help clear anything up.

Urban Meyer retired and Norter Dame sucks.

I'm talking about Harbaugh, not MSU or any clown stompings.

Jim Harbaugh is not unsportsmanlike, he just runs out of patience with the stupid, idiat (sic) media faster than other coaches. And I've seen Dantonio go off during pressers and it's actually kinda refreshing.

It seems to be a fairly common characteristic of head coaches/managers of various different sports.

I think it's in the contracts of (definitely FBS coaches) to rant at least once in a season and I think there are incentives for when they go viral on YouTube. The lesser coaches do it for effect and to be taken more seriously.

Based on prior posts, I worry you may be reprimanded for taking the thread off topic by making it about Dantonio. But you are right about that, MD has has definitely lost patience with the media at times.

Typical Harbaugh press conference is a collection of non sequiturs and blank stares in the distance over everyones head
