My way too early yardage prediction thread

The best QB, Manning and Brady..one thing you can count on, double digit wins and playoffs..And they haven't always had the best team around them. And as previously said, good QB don't have a bad streak like Stafford did those last 8 games.

I'm on the Stafford hate wagon at the moment and that's because I had hope in 2012, especially after 2011 and hope he'd rebound in 2013. Not anymore. Good QB shouldn't need a HOF lineup to put up good numbers..I'm sick of hearing about him..

With all of the mechanical issues Stafford has, it's still not the biggest knock on him. The biggest knock is that he just does not make anyone better. He makes WRs have to work harder than necessary to catch his sky throws. And I'm getting tired of the Lions organization making excuses for him by continuing to draft "weapons." Every year, every draft, it's weapons. Gotta get more for him, offense won't be stopped.

On the other hand, the Lions are absolutely primed to succeed with a rookie QB should it come to that. If Stafford bombs this year, we don't even need him next year to give a rookie a year to learn (which lately has actually been shown not to matter anyway). Any QB that plays for the Lions in the next few years will have solid protection and a bunch of weapons.

The team is better set up now to win with a rookie QB than it has ever been. And recent history suggests that a team can improve even with a rookie QB if you choose right.

It's proven Stafford made Calvin better. 2011-2013 says it all for that. Burleson when he played did solid (he just missed 16 games the past 2 years) and Pettigrew had some 700 yard years. Even Ogletree looked good Week 17 coming into the year in October not knowing the playbook. Durham just sucks with drops and separation. Stafford makes everyone better. Quick decisions helps the Olines.

The drops make Stafford look worse. He's a good QB.

Constant overthrows make Stafford look bad, but that's on the receivers that are under 8 ft tall. Damn those short receivers.

Is it? Or is it proof that the Detroit Lions are throwing the ball more than any team in the NFL. Alot of qbs not named Kitna would've gotten CJ those numbers.

Dude, I could make Calvin look good. The guy is probably going to go down as the best WR to ever play the game.

I'll take that Kitna remark back. Look at 2008 compared to 2013. Very comparable with Kitna throwing him the ball.

Certain players are going to be great regardless who the QB is..Calvin is one.

Stafford made him better, lmao.

some really interesting numbers in that article.

QB rating consistently goes down every month.

Sept 96.1
Oct 93.5
Nov 78.9
Dec 63.8

On the biggest stage (MNF) QB rating of 48.0

Cold weather <40 degrees QB rating of 60.6
41-60 degrees 83.5
over 60 degrees 95.9

last 2 minutes of a 1/2....48.2

4th quarter within a FG 64.4
4th quarter within a TD 74.2

Not every pick are Staffords fault. Only 12.

Drops are factored in and ints not his fault go into those QB ratings.

Batted balls are certainly not his fault.

Wilson lives off turnovers and run game. He couldn't do it by himself.

I've proven I know more than all of you is what I've proven. Context. Watch the tape again and you'll agree with me. Your distant memories from November/December are proven wrong as always.

bad luck. But really our oline stoning the defense so that they have nothing to do but stay at the los and jump.

to all the posters.... This is a classic example of a website looking for traffic. Stop responding to him

you are an idiot.

you are an idiot.

So you got nothing other than name calling because you know I'm right. You guys can all agree with each other, but maybe you are just a group of idiots. I'm like Sir Isaac Newton telling you about gravity.
