My way too early yardage prediction thread

Caldwell did a great job with Manning and others. He deserves credit for sure.
Stafford should have a great year. Footwork can be fixed in short order

Hope you're right about Stafford. Unless LKP goes on another rant about how good he already is

Caldwell was qb coach and manning said himself Caldwell had a huge part. Ignoring that is just being a hater. And Lombardi and cooter should help too. Plus better healthier weapons. It's not just Caldwell why he can reduce picks and raise comp percentage

And experience helps stafford too. Since he missed most of 2010, he is on the same games played time table as manning

As a QB coach..the job a QB coach does. Anyone think Caldwell has time to work with Stafford would be wrong..that's not the job of a HC.

And the pope REALLY can talk to God.
I can't debate the Caldwell and Manning history because I did hear Manning rave about him a couple of time.

Staffords footwork can be fixed and if he does, he will throw less picks.

Unfortunately picks aren't his only problems..

I don't doubt that Caldwell helped Manning. But let's be realistic.....he didn't make Tebow into Joe Montana........he helped make a HOF player SLIGHTLY better. It's not like Peyton's numbers skyrocketed.....he just made a natural progression and had some good coaching.

Another thing LKP fails to mention is that 2002 (the year Caldwell arrived) and 2003 were the emergence of Reggie Wayne.....a HOF WR.....to play opposite Marvin Harrison. Before Wayne....their #2 WR was Jerome Pathon or Terrence Wilkins. Anyone think Staffords numbers would improve if we had a 24 year old Wayne join the team?

I do.

Why didn't he fix it the other 5 years?

It was real bad last year. He has always had the issue just not as bad. not sure how much they could have done with him in the second half which is where it became a noticeable issue... my guess is he will get it corrected before the season starts. I'm more worried about secondary.

Because his coaches were telling him there was nothing wrong and he obviously didn't think it was too big of a problem (many of us think otherwise).

hes a smart guy....youd think going 24-38 would be a hint that youre doing something wrong lmao. People on here hate on Josh Freeman....hes 24-36 on a much much worse team. Russel Wilson has already surpassed Stafford in career wins. Andrew luck has 1 less win in his career than Stafford. Ill say that again....the worst team in the league 2 years ago...the indy colts...slected Andrew luck #1 overall and in 2 seasons Andrew luck has led his team to only 1 less win in staffords 6 seasons. That's absolutely pathedic....

There you go saying that QBs are the only way a team wins or loses. Next you're going to tell me that Troy Aikman was a good QB or that Terry Bradshaw was elite......give me a fn break lololol.

At least there were stupid enough people to vote them into the HOF. Not sure Stafford gets that lucky..

Josh Freeman? Come on man, you can't be serious.

did he not lead a less talented team to a better win % than Stafford? yes or no? cause if youre telling me the frikken tampa bay bucs are more talented than the lions then LKP might blow a gasket....

if you think theres no correlation that at the top of that list is manning, brees, brady and roethlisburger.....than I don't know what to tell you.

ok. Freeman is better than Stafford. You win.

I'm just going by numbers. Both Aikman and Bradshaw were average QBs at best. Both QBs had the sickest defenses to back them up. A lot of players shouldn't even be in the HOF, but when you win, you're in. I don't agree, but that's the way it is....

I'm just saying that the QB gets all the glory when they win and all the criticism when they lose. It's been a media staple since i can remember and it's absolutely riduculous. Prime example is Peyton vs Eli. There's one group saying that Eli is the better QB because of his 2 rings and Peyton only has 1. Probably one of the dumbest, retarded debates in sports history.

And if Stafford is shit, so is Freeman. Get real, dude lol. Freemans not even in the fn league
