My way too early yardage prediction thread

more weapons wont matter if he just locks onto his primary then dumps down like hes done his entire career. More weapons wont matter if his accuracy doesn't improve. His accuracy wont improve if his footwork and pocket presence doesn't improve. He did suck the last 8 games. 1 playoff appearance sucks. 1 playoff blowout loss sucks.

He won't lock onto Calvin if Ebron and Tate get open. Burleson/Pettigrew/Durham didn't get enough separation. A force to Calvin or dump was the best option. Giving him healthy weapons who can catch is HUGE. Plus a change in scheme shouldn't hurt.

His pocket presence is fine and he has a quick release.
His bad footwork is exaggerated but does need a tweak. The new staff should give him that.

We did have a lot of drops that were on the receivers. But he also missed a ton that were on him..throws that the receivers just weren't close enough to catch. Everyone gets the blame but he deserves quite a bit.

I agree, Mitch. He deserves a lot of the blame ...i never argued that.

His footwork looks like someone put tap shoes on a 1 year old. First hint of pressure and he stumbles out of the pocket like a motel bar hooker. Yeah I'd say it needs a tweak.

You exagerate the problem greatly.

you exaggerate that the run game didn't help him. He had over 1600 rush yards from 2 backs. If youre saying we lost 5 games that we average less than 3.4 ypc than we should have won all the games we averaged more.....but stafford sucked in a lot of those games too.

Stats?? His stats are brutal...lol. Are you shittin me? The guy never threw over 23 TDs in a season, QB comp % of 61%, he never threw over 3,500 yds, his QB career rating was 81.6, he averaged 13 TDs a season. His stats were bunk!!! lol

Top 5 in QB rating 4-5 straight years. I'd take that any time.
YPA in early 90s was good. Led league in competition % one year. Mid 60s a couple others.

LKP, his footwork is that bad. When things start to break down a little bit in the pocket, he turns into Joey Ballgame. The fact that he is basically a parking meter back there does not help either. One of the biggest knocks on him at Georgia was the same thing. His footwork sucks.

Not bad...terrible. The bad part is that alot of his errant throws, the pocket is not breaking down, just lazy(bad habit) footwork by Stafford

It was an inconsistent run game. 5 losses 3.4 YPC or less. And it wasn't good at Washington either without Bush. That is beyond terrible. 2 losses the Oline gave up 5 sacks each game. Don't act like we have an world run game for Stafford every week. It was feast or famine.

Run game put him in bad situations for 5 of the losses.

Ofcourse its inconsistent...we throw the ball 600 times a year....which allows stafford to get all those stats you keep eluding to. Just Imagine the stats he would have put up if he was good. ...

yes he will...always has. I guarantee davante adams puts up similar if not better numbers than ebron this year. GB will get better production from a 2nd rd WR than we will from a top 10 pick. And that's why they win the division and we don't...ever....

So GB wins the division because Adams will have better production than Ebron? Dumbest statement to date. Who gives a rats ass if Adams has more production? As long as Ebron produces for this team and becomes a factor, who gives a fuck what Davonte Adams does? We'll let you stress over it week-to-week. You're such a tard ....

We throw the ball so much due to the situations of the game (down and distance) and the fact Stafford converts 3rd downs so much. First downs converted lead to more attempts. Stafford does his job well. The running game didn't always back him up like you claim. This causes down and distance problems.

And Ebron will produce for this offense and it will make a positive impact. Which is all that matters, especially compared to what Durham brought to the table or half a season of Burleson. Tate and Ebron trump both those players big time. Calvin, Tate and Ebron can produce more than Nelson, Cobb and Adams. We have just as much if not more passing firepower with GB now. RB catches put us over the top. GB is a good team but Detroit can top them. Detroit has more talent than GB overall.

Talent does not mean better. Talent is perception, execution is reality. Packers execute better.

21% if the games Adrian Peterson was under 3.4, 43% he was under 4.

It's hard to run the ball, this game is designed to throw, that's the easiest way to move the ball.
