My way too early yardage prediction thread

Naaaah, i'm not too dumb at all. You're the fn dummy who doesn't get it..lol. You already have Moncrief penciled in at 600 yds because you're a fn moron. We all know the offense revolves around CJ. Ebron brings another element to the offense. Something you fn retards don't understand. If he's as advertised, not only will he put up stats, but he'll take away defenders from other players on offense like Tate, Bush and Bell. Everybody knows that CJ is double/triple teamed most of the game. Leaving players like Tate and our RBs with less defenders all over them. Too bad you fn idiots don't understand it, but the presence of Ebron should benefit this team greatly. Just because he doesn't catch 10 balls and a 100+ yards game with 2 TDs, doesn't mean he isn't a factor. Dummy.

Soooo...just to recap. youre ok with a top 10 offensive weapon finishing the year with 500 yards of total offense? And you don't see any problem with value if that happens? Just want to hear you say it one more time to see if you really mean it or if youre just trying to argue your homerism...

There should be plenty enough to go around. And if not, but you're winning some games, they need to shut their mouths. Look at the Broncos last year. Thomas bros, Decker and a stable of RBs. They kept their yaps shut. Theres nothing wrong with having options. Wtf is wrong with you people, seriously? You compkain because we have dogshit and now you're complaining about having too much. Does it ever end with you guys....ever?

I agree it's about the wins. But I think we'd have better luck with the wins if we went with someone else..

No Tony, we complain because the team drafted a position that has been taken 4 times in 25 years in the top 10, when the offense was not the problem. We complain because Stafford continues to not make anyone around him better, and the GM feels the need to continue to load up on weapons for him. We complain because we are tired of the Lions thinking they are the smartest people in the room. This team clearly needs more help in the secondary, not a luxury TE.

If Ebron is not a revelation for the Lions, it was a wasted pick. He was drafted for immediate impact. There is no "wait and see" with him. If people complain about the length of time it takes for a good CB to develop, then no one should be complaining if Ebron sucks, just deal with it being a bad pick.

Ebron is going to be a very good player but I would have preferred Denard. Ebron will make an immediate impact however. Van Noy was the steal for the Lions draft. We potentially could have ROY both defense and offense. I'll go out on a limb and predict it now.

And I hope that happens, I hope Ebron is what people expect him to be. But that still doesn't mean I like the pick. It was a luxury pick when there were plenty more needs elsewhere.

Back on the koolaid train, eh?

Fun facts from cheeno to support jdeb being off the reservation:

*The Detroit Lions have won the most Rookie of the Year awards (7). Detroit has won four offensive ROTYs and three defensive ROTYs.

*The only time it has been won O and D on the same team 1967 for you guessed it Detroit...Mel Farr and Lem Barney.

*Only one kicker has won the award...Jason Hanson

*Last Lion to win it Suh - DROY 2010.

lol...ahaaahahaa. OK, I expect Ebron to produce this year, but I'm not going to throw him on the scrap heap after his rookie year if he doesn't reach a certain number. There's other ways for him to produce on the field besides putting up video game numbers. He stretches the field down the middle, he'll create mismatches, open guys up on offense etc etc. How am I being a homer? You're being a complete retard by saying he's a bust after a year if he doesn't reach YOUR number. That's YOURS by the way...nobody elses...make that clear.

Load up on weapons?? Who the hell you talking about?? Durham? Ross? Burleson? Ogletree perhaps? Get real, bro..lol. He's had dogshit to throw to besides CJ. Ebron wasn't a luxury when he was drafted to make an impact right away. He does things other TEs cannot do. That's not luxury.

And you're calling him a bust after year one too if he struggles?

I wouldn't have been mad at a Dennard pick. My guys were Mack, Gilbert and Lewan if I can remember...i think lol. I kept hearing they were in love with Ebron, but didn't think it was going to happen. I was mad and confused at the time, but I get it now and can't wait to see it on the field.

all I said is that I think GB will get more value out of their 2nd rd pick then we got from ebron. To be honest it has more to do with I have no faith that Stafford can read a defense and hit the open man ...or the "mismatch" that you eluded to.

The argument then led to someone completely lowballing ebrons numbers....even lower than what Pettigrew was doing. Now....IF he does finish with only 500 yards...then yes....I think the pick was absolutely stupid. Personally I think ebron could be huge for this offense...said it many times before we even drafted him. Hes exactly what we need in the middle of the field. Part of the whole value argument for me is expectations....you get drafted in the top 10...damn right I expect you to get more than 500 yards. Just like when we drafted Reiff...I didn't expect him to be a part time fb. There no reason to break in, or slowly mold 1st round picks. If rookie qbs can lead their teams to the playoffs....then I have no doubt that a rookie TE can go onto a field...run...and catch a ball while hes running. Cause really, that's all ebron has to do....

I'm not going to show Ebron any patience. He's expected to be an impact now. No one on here is willing to give the CBs/DBs any patience, so I don't need to for him.

Pettigrew (1st, same year as Stafford) Best (1st), Young (2nd), LeShore (2nd), Broyles (2nd), Ebron (1st), already has Calvin, Bush, Tate. Yes, when you consistently draft 1st and 2nd/and sign all of these offensive players, then the Lions are clearly gung-ho about getting Stafford players. And until he figures out how to help them, they will continue to do so with reckless abandon.

Stafford will be fine. He finally has some weapons at his disposal. If he fails with this group, I'm on the "kick Staff outta town" group with the rest of yas. lol

Absolute bullshit. Pettigrew was a blocking TE in college, the running game was non-existent until players like Best, Leshore and Bush came here...it was a need. Then you mention Young and Broyles? Complete failures...lol. So they're supposed to continue to look to the waiver wire for shit and not draft anyone? Sorry, Stafford isn't Brady or Rodgers, so it's ok to try and help your QB.

As for your patience speech?? You sure told him I guess. Newsflash, brother!! Ebron isn't going anywhere!! So for your sake (and your health), I hope he lives up to your expectations as a rookie. lol

Lions have addressed both offense and defense properly.

Suh,Fairley,Ansah,Slay,Van Noy.
Quin,Tulloch free agency. Re-signed Levy.

Not only is that more times than offense listed above, they seem to be all hits or good potential (Slay/Van Noy).

They need one more first round CB per your standards of addressing. Get a grip people. Mathis and Slay can do a good job.
