When they showed it they had the Lions at 7-4 since they had not lost yet. Chicago has the better conference record right now.

yep...we have to beat of chicago.........or we tie and they lose to Minny on the road and we beat Minny at home

Chicago is toast, don't have to worry about them. The Lions control their own destiny. Win 3 your in. Even 2 gives us a shot.

When Chicago loses to Minny(& another team), I'll rest a little easier with only needing 9 wins..until then, we need to win 3 games

Updated

I usually would've waited until all the NFC teams have played but who really cares about Seattle-St. Louis.

Well if Seattle runs the house they could sneak past Detroit. Which would completely suck.

As long as we win one game we will have the tiebreaker over the Bears... They're are going to lose to GB and at best will be 9-7... The tiebreakers go head-to-head(we split so that doesn't matter) the next is win loss in the divison (if they lose to GB and beat Minn they finish 3-3 in the division and worst we can finish is 3-3 if we lose to GB) the next tiebreaker and the one that will help us if we win one more game is common opponents record. Right now CHI is 5-5 with 2 games left (GB and MINN assuming they go 1-1 they'll finish 6-6... our record right now is 6-3 in those games, and our final 3 opponents are all in the common games. As long as we win 1 of the final three we should be able to have the tiebreaker if Chi loses to either GB or Minn.

Boy Oakland sure did look bad at Gren Bay... But then Minnesota rushed for 269 years against us without AP...Maybe having Suh back ans going against a pocket passer will help.

Here is how I see it:

If we go 3-0 (11-5):
In Guaranteed

If we go 2-1 (10-6):
Only way not in is if:
Chicago goes 3-0 and Atlanta goes 2-1

If we go 1-2 (9-7):
Only way not in is if two of these happen:
1)Atlanta goes 1-2 or better
2)Chicago goes 3-0
3)Chicago goes 2-1* (with their wins coming against Minny and Green Bay) we are out based division record.
4)Seattle goes 3-0 we are out based on tiebreaker
5)Arizona goes 3-0 we are out based on tiebreaker (Unless our 1 win is against Green Bay then we are in)

Best a wild card can be from the East is 9-7:
We own the tie breaker vs Dallas based on Head to Head
We own the tie breaker vs Giants based on Conference Record

Seattle and Arizona play the final week so they both can't go 3-0.

*We will own the tie breaker (best record in common games) over Chicago if they lose to Minny or Green Bay (since we have would have the same division record, assuming we lose to green bay, it would go to the next tie breaker)

Well Seattle and Arizona both won't go 3-0, they play each other week 17.

:)

Updated from the 1pm games

I'll update this again after the 4pm games

Seattle has found itself in the mix now and they currently have a better conference record than Detroit so we should keep an eye on them for now, however they play San Fran next week, who's fighting for a 1st round bye with NO.

Updated after the win

If Arizona loses, they're done

Every team ahead of the Giants will finish with a better conference record, they can only get in at this point by winning the NFC East.

Seattle has SF next week and Chicago has Gb. Next week could be a win and in kind of thing.
