No tampering found

Okay. But I didn't think they'd find anything either. But if you're sure the Dolphins did something wrong then you're in agreement with me? I never said I expected anything just that they tampered..example, did something wrong.

I'm not exactly sure what they did, but I have to imagine something happened there that flagged this investigation.

Suh's deal wasn't the first that leaked during the course of that weekend. It wasn't the last. And I doubt the NFL decided to investigate just because it was the biggest. There had to be something else there that made them think an investigation was warranted in this one individual case.

I just don't know what, and I don't know that it amounted to tampering. Maybe Goodell had reason to think the team was the source of the deals leak, in which case they violated rules, but did not "tamper". I'm just not sure.

If I absolutely HAD to make a guess, I would guess they did tamper, and were able to cover it up. There were rumors that the NFL thought they may have contacted Suh up to two weeks prior to the negotiating period.

If the league is actively screwing over the Lions allowing tampering, then Mayhew is an even better GM than we thought and just has one more thing to deal with. And he'll have the last laugh with Ngata and company this year.

There will be no blaming Mayhew for losing Suh if you think the Dolphins tampered. None. And there will be no blaming Mayhew if the league actually looked at it. There is nothing else Mayhew could do if the leauge looked at it and decided it wasn't tampering.

Lions offered 17 per. Very fair. Suh chose the money at 19 per. End of story.

COMPLETELY... TOTALLY... FULL OF SHIT.

You ramble on like the victim of some unwritten rule about lowly teams or whatever the hell you are insinuating.

The Jet's didn't get jack or shit. They got FINED 100K. I wouldn't exactly call that a gift, which is what you're trying to make it sound like. "Even the lowly Jets got something"... yeah.. A BILL.

The Jets owner made comments about wanting another team's player prior to free agency. That is the actual DEFINITION of tampering.

The Dolphins owner said nothing. He didn't tamper as far as anyone can tell. At the worst, he violated the rules on leaking terms... WHICH IS NOT TAMPERING.

It's amazing how you can try to turn anything into an anti-Lions/anti-Mayhew commentary.

LKP is full of shit with his pie in the sky view of the Lions, but you are actually MORE full of shit in just about everything you post. You are willing to bend the truth to flat out lie to make a point about how shitty the team is. At least LKP only has a rose tinted view of the team, he doesn't outright lie through his teeth.

Yup I'm so full of shit and lie that almost everything i say comes true lol. ....riiiiiigggghhht.

Did i lie about best?
Spievey?
Levy his first 3 years?
Leshoure?
Broyles?
Mike thomas?
Predicted the EXACT records 2 out of 3 years and was 1 game off last year.
Stafford i just post facts about where he finishes in rankings and you dumbasses argue statistical facts! Lol it comical. You want to be a lawyer and your to blind to see facts? Ya that's not going to work out for you.....sorry.

Facts
Staffords comp % sucks
Even when he raises it...it still sucks
He bottom half almost every year in qbr, qb rating
Hes won nothing
Hes lost alot

What do i lie about?

You said the Jets benefited from complaining about tampering and compared that to the Lions situation.

The Jets were the ones that tampered and it was clearly a different situation with the owner running his trap in December.

And somehow Mayhew gets blamed.

You just don't take all the facts into account when you make a statement. And you do it on purpose to bash Mayhew.

Question for you hughes. Lions have a good deep roster right now.

Yes or no?

Oline is weak in my opinion. Which we saw what happens when stafford has a weak oline. ...45 sacks was it? Ridiculous that were rolling with an even worse situation at rt than last year.

We have alot of receivers. ...but to say we're deep is a stretch. Calvin goes down which happens more and more frequently and WRs not looking so hot.
Qb super thin
Dline is thin
Corner is thin
Safety meh...

Were deep at rb and lb....2 positions that dont matter much.

I do think we have a good starting roster. ....much better than years past. But we're not a deep team. ....which is why you use the injury excuse every single fucking year.

If RT is your only starting complaint, you have to give Mayhew praise. Waddle is a solid RT when healthy (unknown at this point). Lucas in year 2. Robinson over Reynolds (since Hilliard missed 15 games). It's a better RT situation.

I strong disagree that we are thin at WR, Dline, Oline (interior), CB (especially nickel) and Safety. Especially with what Tate did last year without Calvin.

And as for stats, they are skewed by things. It's a team game still so if your run game and protection sucks (due to injuries or whatever) then you QB play won't look as good. Game tape doesn't lie. Stafford is a good QB. 11 wins is a good team.

I use the injury excuse because it's not just one injury. It's multiple. Waddle, Warford, Hilliard, Sims (playing hurt early) and Bush, Reiff 2 games. Riddick is a good receiver and Bell had a solid second half of the season.

And in the end it was only 5 losses and ref screw job. Majority of time they were overcoming these injuries.

Game by game injuries matter and affect a certain game too.

Defense over came every single injury. Fairley, Tulloch and multiple nickels were big injuries too. Deeper than you thought on defense. And a top 5 defense which you didn't think would happen either when I compared them to Seattle. They were very comparable to Seattle.

Not every team has a type five offense and defense. All good teams have weakness. Ours was run game and protection which affected the QBs stats. And Mayhew did a great job addressing that weakness on draft weekend.

I agree we have plenty of depth at slot wr. ...they just aren't good enough to produce consistently if put in a starting role....except tate ofcourse. Ebron needs to bot be invisible this year.

Dline we've addressed with alot of bodies....but it remains to be seen if any of them will step up and be productive. Taylor fell off last year cause Johnson stepped up. We need to hope he returns to form with Johnson gone.

Anytime I use the injury excuse. It's multiple injuries in the same area
2011 Delmas, Houston, Berry, Chris Harris. Gee, I wonder why our pass defense went from top 5 (which it was thorugh 10 games) to very poor the last 6 regular season and playoff game. Everyone got hurt.

2012 the team had some issues (DE regression) but injuries played a factor too. Delmas couldn't get on the field and was limited and off later. Florence/Bentley/Spievey all missed major time. Houston missed the first 2 games. Weapons Burleson missed 9 games, Titus 6, Broyles 5, Pettigrew 4. All at the same time. Plus not having Best or being able to go out and get a replacement plus LeShoure still a high draft pick unknown coming off injury for the run game. 0-8 finish can be explained some by that. Was the defense up to par, no but the secondary couldn't hold with all those injuries and good DEs previously played poorly or average.

2013 Waddle/Bush out hurt our run game. Houston and Quin playing hurt allowed big plays to happen. Slay/Mathis both missed a few games too. And Slay was a rookie. Big plays occured because of that. Offensively, we lacked WR depth but Burleson/Broyles injury played a factor too. Plus Calvin injuries occurred too with no Tate. We had other spots to fix and ignored WR leaving us with Durham. Bad weapons led to many turnovers (picks and fumbles). It wasn't just Stafford.

We have number 1 WR depth with Tate. Having that and slot depth is good. I expect a jump from Ebron in year 2. Right now he's our 3rd option, if he had to be our 2nd option, we'll see how he does. Having a a top 10 pick in year 2 as your 3rd option is good depth. Rookie TEs struggle.

Webster is the guy to replace Johnson. Johnson was Ansah's backup on the open end. We have two 4th round picks in year 2 and 3 respectivlly with a good Dline coach. The talent is there for depth at DE. And Tapp filled a role last year at closed end.

You're flat out lying about Mayhew, his actions, his involvement in the investigation.. all to make a totally bullshit point that doesn't stand up to any form of intelligent scrutiny. And you do it pretty regularly.

You go back to the same well time and time again with Broyles, Best, etc... always ignoring your "He's crap" comments on guys like Levy.

You will turn ANY discussion into a chance to throw out bullshit about Mayhew or Stafford, regardless of how untrue or complete fucking retarded it may be.

It's fine by me bro. I'm done arguing with you. I have way better things in life to do than continue to argue with complete horeshit with the same person over and over. I'm just done responding to the crap.

When you make a solid or intelligent point, I'll probably be among the first to agree with you, but you want to continue to spout this trail of drivel, you can argue with LKP til the cows come home.

Damn I wish this board had an ignore feature.

Ill agree that we can have another great year if injuries don't pile up. So that said. ..we have a good team....but not a deep team. I base most of that on our division. We're better than the bears. Min is catching up to us but i like our defense better. We're not as good as gb. 4 wins in the division and we should have a good shot at the playoffs again.

Again you didn't say anything i lied about lol. His actions? He had none. Involvement? There was none that any of us know about. I dont recall talking about any of that....so whos lying now? These actions will not stand in court....you cant just make shit up all the time.

Now ...i did say hes soft and didnt make a big deal about the situation. Was i fucking wrong? You're to smart to be this dumb....your falling off the deep end.

When the worst de in the league is starting for you. ....your dline isn't deep.

Jones is not the worst DE in the league. He's good in run defense. He's a big reason we have such a good run defense too. Remember when Avril would be way out of position in 2011 or 2012 and teams would run all over us.

His pass rush isn't great but it doesn't have to be. He generated some pressure in the second half of the season. He can generate pressure from the DT spot. I hope they use him there in passing situations more but Taylor or Webster need to step up for that.

DE is deep. And we just added Corey Wooten (7 sacks in 2012). He's another decent tweener.

The nfl had proven how it works in these situations and what motivates them. Bad publicity.

Rice 2 games for punching his future wife lmao

I can go on and on providing examples of dicipline being more harsh because they were in the public eye. Thats how goodell works.

Bad publicity that you can prove. Such as the Rice tape then getting a full year suspension.

NFL looked into it and couldn't prove Suh was tampered with.

My only issue had only ever been. ...they looked into it less cause we didnt make a big deal about it. I have raging lunatics going of the deep end cause i said that lmao....its hysterical. How am i a "liar" because i have that opinion? Did mayhew cause a public stink about it? No....so i was right.
