Official Day 3 Draft Thread

Wow...WTF...that was the worst ****ing pick of this year considering talent available. What a wasted pick. That's like a R7 pick selected in R5 when R3 talent is still available.

I'm thinking we could've probably signed him after the draft. That was a weird one.

Seems like character is #1 importance for Lions. Also appears thdy want to run the ball and stop the run..

First pick of the draft I really didn't like. Fullbacks you can get after the draft. Unless the kid is a superstar, you don't use a pick on one.

This guy wasn't even one of the five best fullbacks in the draft. I really hate this pick.

How many snaps did we use a fb last year? I don't get this one at all. At all

You know, the more i watch and read about him, this is a good pick. A good blocker, great receiver "best hands I've ever seen from a fb or rb", and he's very physical. I guess this goes with the idea of beefing up the run game. I can get with it.

He could be a good player for us, in limited time.

However, there were some impact guys still on the board, and this guy probably wasn't going to be drafted at all given his position.

Thats the reason I don't like it. I would rather have Bennett or Ekempre-Olomu than a guy we probably could have called after round 7 and still got.

Jed Collins played more than you think last season, and even had a receiving TD for us.

This. Collins missed a lot of catches last year, too. I think this could end up being a good pick. I would have rather gone with Ifo or a WR, but I can dig it.

I bet he's a good young player for us who develops into a top run blocker and a passable receiver.

Just think we could have gotten him without using a pick. I am on board with the player, not on board with a pick.

This is Nate Freese part two to me.
