The Official Notre Dame vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

Amazing Windbush had only 170 yards passing.. how many jump balls did our safety?s and db?s let happen ?

Quite a few as well as dropping or losing interceptions, per usual against our rivals. I counted 3 interceptions that were dropped or taken away by the receiver..

God that many . I remembered one big one for the td. Jesus shoot me .

Michigan combined passer rating (NFL formula) was 72.6. No passing touchdowns, less than 250 yards of passing (249 yds). And this was the great big offensive fix from Jim Harbaugh? We were losing by 14 in the 3rd quarter. Not super great.

We have to take jimmys toys away until he starts winning. No more all white uniforms and European vacations.

What a shitshow!

The weather was horrrible in Michigan, causing that stupid NBC WILX to cut to doppler radar and talk about tornadoes and storms for almost the entire first quarter

Our dish kept going in and out the entire first half

Then the game was a shitshow. Back to horrible red zone offense. Get it to first and goal from the 5 and throw the football...end up with no points. What happened to manball? 2nd and goal from the 3 and they pass and get sacked. Stupid! Where was Ben Mason? is that only a 1 yard line thing?

They talk all preseason about what they are going to do, then when the game comes, they don't do any of it. Way to fool 'em, Jimmy.

As they should both Detroit papers Crucifying Jim for his Unimaginative playcalling and undisciplined team .

I am sorry to Thomas . For some reason I thought Collins ran the kick back for a td.

So how many coverted 3rd downs does ND get from penalties? This coaching staff has not prepared this defense at all.

Thanks for reminding me. Michigan practically gifted them 2 td's with stupid, stupid penalties

The targeting on Metellus. Completely stupid play. 3rd and 9, throwing from his own endzone, pass is nowhere near the target, so Metellus takes a cheap shot, first down. Took what would've been good field position for Michigan, instead ND goes down and scores a TD.

Winovich takes 3 or 4 steps and hits Wimbush late on another 3rd down, would've been a FG attempt...nope! First down, touchdown

These guys are stupid.

Seriously when will this defense live up to its pregame billing ? We have been hearing about Brown’s genius since he took over but I for one just do not see it translating to holding teams off the scoreboard.

I agree so undisciplined its not even funny anymore.

ACC officials against a team with ties to the ACC is bullshit. Does this game get B1G officials next year?

Did you really expect non-biased officials at ND? Come on, guys.

Then the Michigan players didn't help themselves on O by sometimes looking for a call to save them instead of making a play

Funny how some here are talking about the bad commentators. Seriously, what did you expect?

I can't understand how that's not a penalty. Push the receiver so he can't come back to the ball.

Wasn't a call, because the receiver didn't even look to be trying to come back to the ball. He just stood there and waited for the refs to bail him out. That isn't going to happen in South Bend.

You could dink and dunk ND all day, but we are not calling it. We need a legitimate Offensive Coordinator with his own play calls. Notice no fucking fullbacks, guys? Remember we were hearing how they would be used and how rough and strong they were?

this...

Same old same old from Patterson also. Can?t beat good teams . I just don?t understand recruiting guys and sticking with them like Mccaffery . Hate picking up graduate transfers.

Patterson isn't a grad transfer. He's a normal transfer that didn't have to sit out a year, because his former team cheated and lied to him.

Well, that is what happens when they go against a good o-line. You know, something they don't ever do in practice...

Yeah I still hate it. It means your not recuriting the right guys in the first place. Stick with the guys you scouted and stop looking for saviors.

I disagree. I like it. You want at least 4 QB's on the roster and that is what Michigan has. Then you play the best one.

McCaffery did look like he had potential.

Good point. But I am still tired of hearing how good they are. Not one game last season did they hold a team under 10 points unlike the previous two seasons, and seven times in 1997. It’s like we are going all out for the big play every play and failing to manage the game at all on the scoreboard. I just do not get it. Make a darn play and stop reading the papers. Undisciplined penalties ..wtf !
