There was talk about him trying to stick around for 3K hits, but the last 2 years have really killed the chances of that.

EDIT: guess he only has 1,278 in Japan, I thought he had 2k.

Agreed, hopefully Dotel can help him get out of the inning without a run scoring, Detroit bats can start mashing and Fister gets the win.

If he called the ball "foul" after the ball hit the ground, he cannot reverse it, and if Gerardi is smart, he will protest this game.

Don't know how anyone can claim the ball hit chalk when it landed on the grass.
