Tired of talking about 2013 and before.....

Yeah what's next he's going to tell us that d coordinators are going to roll coverage off the best wideout in football to cover a rookie TE who's never taken an NFL snap. Hughes, you so crazy.

Lmao yup im fucking nuts. Except I cant take credit for that....boogers legendary defense had the idea of rolling coverage off cj to pay more attention to a slow te with average hands....hes the true genius here. hes also going to run the ball everytime we see a dime. So hes got both the o and d covered. I vote him to take lombardi and austins jobs next year.

Really? then why did he throw the ball 600 times last year.....we saw plenty of dime/nickel.

The Lions had tons of first down. First downs lead to more attempts.

Detroit was 14th in rushing attempts. Not like we didn't run the ball.

Bush missed 2.5 games. And we don't have a QB who runs the ball. Leads to less attempts too.

With the addition of Tate and Ebron, damn right it'll help Calvin. Nobody fears the Durhams, Ogletrees and Ross' of the football world.

How many teams fear the #3 receiving option on ANY team?

Calvin, Tate, Pettigrew, two RBs that can catch the ball out of the backfield, and an O-line is PLENTY for him, or any team for that matter. Ebron was a luxury, overkill, whatever you want to label it.

It's a valid point, not many top ten picks get to come in as a third receiving option and that's if you don't count Bush who was brought in specifically as a pass catching back.

#3 options?? Bro, those were our #2's most games lol

Ebron wasn't a luxury if he can help out this offense. He brings another element to this offense that Pettigrew or Fauria can't....

Not talking about the past. I'm talking about now, going into next year. If Calvin and Tate and the rest of the offense isn't enough for Stafford, nothing will ever be.

No team has a #3 option that makes teams truly gameplan.

The funny thing is with all this talk of Ebron opening up things for everyone and this vastly improved offense...if you look at the individual predictions thread the average prediction for our offense is 4700 yards and 30 TDs and that's from guys like LKP and Tony! Stafford had 4650 yards and 29 TDs last year! With the Durham's, Ross' and Ogeltrees! Where the hell is the 5500 and 45? For all the belief....there is no belief! If you have any faith that Mayhew has improved our offense with his FA and draft pick, shouldn't it reflect in some boosted predictions? Who's holding things back for you all? Stafford? The green coaches?

Those numbers are good numbers. Less turnovers and lions win 11 with those numbers

I think people are thinking more of an efficiency upgrade than an improvement in overall numbers.

Also, winning will keep those numbers down a bit, as winning teams tend to run the ball more when ahead.

Can you explain to me what you mean by efficiency upgrade? Particularly how that would translate into the same number of yards and TDs.

That's bull and you know it. Broncos, Saints, New England (couple years back) all had a variety of weapons to be accounted for. It's not a bad thing to have options for fk sakes...

How many first round picks? Demaryius Thomas comes to mind. I guess Moss was at one time.

So what if i predicted those numbers? Doesn't mean i don't think he can throw for 40 TDs and 5,000 yards. Can't win with you gomers ever. I go low, i should have went high. I go high, i get called a fn homer..lol.Seriously, make up your fn minds...

Cause Stafford cant take advantage of 1 v1 coverage opposite CJ. What all you homers keep explaining is on PAPER everything should work out.....what all the realists keep explaining is with CJ Stafford should have ALWAYS been able to take advantage of the side opposite CJ....but he never has. Hes never turned anyone opposite coverage into a weapon. Soooooo now that we have Tate and Ebron MOST of us believe he will continue to do what he always has done......not much but get the ball to CJ and dump it down.

So we drafted Ebron not to improve our offense but to win more, and because we will win more with him we'll have less yards.
