Tired of talking about 2013 and before.....

Initially, yes. Ebron makes a few big plays and it will force the D to adjust, which will give everyone more space to operate.

Teams don't have to give EE the royal treatment to help CJ.

Here's a good example.

Lions walk up to the line in a 2nd and 5..... They're in a 3 WR, 1 TE, one back set. Stafford reads a 2 deep zone with man underneath. Normally.....the safety to CJ's side is going to roll his way, let Pettigrew be singled (for obvious reasons).

Now, Stafford can play action.....hold the LBs for just a second....send EE down the seam. As a safety....you're fucked. Ebron has the speed and agility to get deep on his man, as does CJ.....he can't cover them both. Normally, the LB can easily run with Pettigrew, who probably isn't running a deep route anyway......and you could single everyone else. Not anymore.

They will help each other. A lot. It's exciting to think what this offense can become.

If I'm the DC though I'm going to make you prove that Stafford can make the throw and that Ebron can make the catch before I change anything to my coverage on CJ. Week six or so we should have the answer to that question.

Pettigrew should've given the Lions the same type of weapon when they drafted him. The problem is you have to catch the ball. I found this article pretty interesting - Larry Fedora was Ebron's UNC coach, this was before the 2013 season.

"Fedora compared Ebron's talent to Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew, whom Fedora coached as offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State before his first head coaching stop at Southern Mississippi."

Interesting that he used Pettigrew for his NFL comparison.

So Catch rate is my biggest concern about Ebron. Here is a good article for people who would like a refresher on some of his stats compared to other players in recent years. ARTICLE LINK

This guy is already making up fantasy plays in his mind.

Stafford moves under center...the smell of Raiola's the jock sweat is overwhelming...Ebron looks over to Stafford and says, "let's do this Caddilac Bro-ham..." Stafford nods aggressively as if to say, "most def E, most def to the max..."

I don't think I'll respond to you harshly anymore Booger...you.....you got some issues man.

You get mad at us for quoting how people in the organization say hes going to be our graham....then your drunk canuck ass tries to use his name in the same sentence as davis? Lmao. Davis runs a 4.3, a physical freak, and can take the top off a defense. Ebron is none of that....not even close to any of that with his blazing 4.7 speed. Labatts killed too many brain cells....

Tony's always on here late nights after swiggin a few Labatt long necks. He gets all belligerent like some alcoholic father. It's all f'n this and f'n that.

I agree. However, there is no way you can watch the two of them and think they are the same type of athlete. Ebron is MUCH more quick twitch and faster.

Pettigrew is plodding with limited quickness. He is more of a traditional, old school TE. Good blocker, and more of a wall you off receiver than a down the field presence.

I also agree that Ebron and Stafford will have to prove something before teams do anything about changing their coverage......that was my point. He is going to have to make a few big plays before anything changes.

I think he will.

You're just like Hughes.....you can't talk X's and O's.

Good, don't respond anymore......you add nothing.

Oh, and fantasy football doesn't have "plays"......it's a make believe roster.

Head coach chose Pettigrew when he had hundreds of other guys to compare him to is my point.

Similarities but it supports your assertion that Pettigrew was always deemed a more traditional TE where E2 represents the evolution of the hybrid.

I reckon lots of the anger and insults come from disagreements that I never read. It's too bad - y'all seem to have something to offer.

I thought Cheeno's fantasy play was pretty funny. It made me laugh even.

Every one of us has issues - hell we give a shit about the Lions in July ffs. There's a special-ed room vibe with everyone trying to stab each other with safety scissors, I feel right at home.

You should watch a Lions game.....it'd be eye opening for you.

So youre saying Stafford didn't get the ball out quicker than every qb not names peyton last year? You should watch a lions game one day....itd be eye opening for you...

you can watch ebron and should be able to see that hes not a gamebreaker by any means. Hes not fast or quick enough to make huge plays after the catch....which is a big part of why he didn't belong anywhere near the top 10 in the draft considering hes not a very good in line TE. Sure hes probably more dynamic in the passing game then Pettigrew....but that's not saying much considering ive watched Pettigrew run 1 route and fall down in 5 years.

LMAO....this coming from Booger....who has never talked Xs and Os....ever.

57 years and one lousy playoff win. Talent or not, the teams had it before, they will find a way to fk this up. 10-12 wins..who gives a fk they need some playoff wins.

This video disagrees with you.

Newsflash, loser.....you know how the draft works. Maybe you don't because you're a half tard. That's cool though. Players in the draft are compared to current or not current players all the time. I read a couple that had comparisons of Ebron toGraham and Davis. They're "comparisons", you schmuck!! Not dopplegangers. Try and catch up, momo.

All these comments about how ebrons presense is going to pull coverage from cj is comical lol. They will put an olb or dime guy on him and thats the end of it. Same coverage Durham, Ross and ogletree had. If ebron tears it up for 3-5 years then mayyyyyybe they game plan additional coverage for him once calvin retires.

Ebron one-on-one with a LB or Dime guy?? And i'm the drunk one? lmfao. I hope that happens, buddy because Ebron will kill that coverage. Defensive nightmare.

Awwwwww don't get all butthurt because you know zero about football. It's okay, bro. Ebron will be better than Graham this year, he wasn't drafted to take any kind of pressure off our players. Or maybe he's a kid whose going to let you down again so you can beat your scrawny chest over a year one TE. It will all fall into place for you.

As for the swearing? Meh, too fn bad....take your fn skirt off, Daisy.

Whew!! Glad finally someone said it!! Ebron compared to Pettigrew now!! It's like a weight lifted off my back!! Graham comparisons out the window, right, you jerkoffs!! lmfao. If you read it on the internet, then it must be true!!! Bahhhhhhahahahaaaaaaaaaaahhahaha!!

And i wish i had some beers. I'm bone dry, but stoned .

Football season around the corner. I have every right to get crazy at this time of year.

His coach made the comparison - the "internet" had nothing to do with.

The end analysis of the post was that Ebron projects more as a Graham type than Pettigrew in the NFL. I think that is what you're saying. Not sure anymore I have to admit.

Deep breaths and all the pain will go away.
