To everyone who says Ebron can be like Graham

Because I don't get to make the picks. Neither do you.

Would I have picked differently? Yep. Am I going to stop being a Lions fan because I don't like their picks? Nope.

So what choice do you have left? You can complain, or you can trust they know what they are doing.

Applying Occam's Razor, the principle that all things being equal, the single simplest solution is usually correct, is it easier to believe...

A) A coach who makes millions to know football, and a GM who played in the NFL, with the support of an entire team of scouts who have watched countless hours of game film and spent hours interviewing these kids knows what they are doing?

B) A bunch of guys in their living rooms posting on a football forum know more than they do?

... Seems a pretty logical reason to trust their judgement over anyone on this boards to me.

the biggest problem is now that we have all these weapons we have to find out if we have an ocord that can actually figure out how to use them. Right now we don't even know if he knows how to call a play....

Plenty of youth at corner for the Lions. I'm glad they didn't go corner in rd 1. Jonte Green is going to turn a corner this year, book it. No early rd corners needed. I'll admit that would've liked to seen one of the two safeties drafted instead of ebron, but I also think ebron is going to be a great tight end. Any notable safeties expected to go in rds 2 and 3??

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the best safeties are gone now. 4 were picked in the 1st round: Haha, Pryor, Deone Buccannon, and Jimmie Ward. I'm hoping we take a DE in round 2. There are quite a few quality DEs left like Kony Ealy, Stephon Tuitt, Kareem Martin, and Scott Crichton.

Ebron will never be Jimmy graham....ever ever ever. Why? Cause Jimmy Graham was picked in the 3rd round. We just picked Ebron in the top 10 of the draft. Ill say it again...we just picked a TE that doesn't play TE in the TOP 10 of the draft. NO got a steal in graham. We have to hope Ebron becomes a Hall of Famer for him to be considered a steal where we took him.

Top ten in the draft will never be considered a steal.

The more I read and hear about Ebron the more it sounds like he is one of two things.

1) A big WR
2) A TE that can't block

We already have a TE that cant catch, so maybe Mayhew has found a way to clone a composite of Pettigrew and Ebron?

EBROGREW!!!!!

Don't forget, a big knock on Ebron is that he has lapses in concentration, and has drop issues. Hmm, sounds like another TE already on the team...

Can someone please explain to me why BPA is constantly used as an excuse for decision making? I hear all the time, "Well, he was BPA on Mayhew's board." Why does that become a rationale for a shit pick? If I rushed up a pick in the 1st round, and it was Jeremy Gallon, and people told me how horrible that pick was, I could just say he was BPA on my board. It's such an unusual defense.

I'm curious to know where Ebron would've gone had the Lions not drafted him.

Let's see everyone's 2015 Mock drafts, who are the good WRs that might be available in the top 5 or 10 next season for the Lions?

Johnny, you won't have to wait that long, maybe Mayhew will have a WR fall into his lap in the 2nd round, and he'll rush the pick up after 30 seconds, while other teams don't even get the chance to call up and make an offer on the pick.

LOL......do you think that you can only get trade offers when you're on the clock. Teams had 3 months to call about pick #9.

There was more than 4 minutes between when pick 9 was turned in and pick 10 was turned in.

Even if they take wr in rd 2 they still need to surround Stafford with weapons next year.

Booger, things change in the draft, that's why they go through the process. The pieces are always moving... You can't look back at 3 months prior to the draft about trading picks. If a team is picking 15-20, and didn't expect their player to still be there at 10, how the heck would they know that three months prior?

Are you sure? While watching the coverage, literally the split second after that pick was made at 9, the Lions logo came up on the screen, and IMMEDIATELY changed to "Pick is in."
