However, watsons actions are directly impacting the franchise... the actions of a washed up over priced de aren't... which is why they agreed to release jj and not watson.

But that is not the point, the point is the amount cap space is plenty to add a few players on decent sized contracts. Collins was an overpay even, Trufant was 2 year backloaded and Harmon was trade with decent sized salary, They all fit in 17 million is the point.

Lions can continue to build in FA too if they choose in 2021. But should be draft focus mainly. Good drafts is best way to do it then supplement with some FA in 2022/2023 for the last few spots

Can Holmes find a Legion of Boom secondary on day 3 with one Round 1 (Earl Thomas). Can Holmes find a UDFA RB like James Robinson for the Jags. Can Holmes hit on majority of day 2 with good starters. Can Holmes find a stud WLB Darius Leonard on day 2 or Warner from 49ers. Can Holmes continue to help find good safety Round 3 (John Johnson not Will Harris) or WR (Cooper Kupp, though Golladay a stud). Can he make a savvy trade for guard Austin Corbett like the Rams did or find David Edwards at guard in Round 5. May not be necessary with Jackson, Stenberg and Vaitai. Can he be smart in FA and get a Whitworth. Will he make a trade for a stud like Ramsey with two of our 1sts? We shall see
