Goodbye schwartz

This argument is tired.

He's probably not as good as LKP thinks, and probably not as bad as Mitch thinks.

He's young, still needs some developing and improvement, but I can't see where you guys seem to think he's a lost cause. His play down the stretch was abhorrent, I'll grant you that. But he also had some pretty great games this year, too.

His footwork is terrible. I think there is some laziness there, but I also think that laziness can be seen in the rest of the team and can be directly attribluted to the completely and utterly classless, clueless, talentless bufoon the Ford's just thankfully fired.

Get a coach in here who demands accountability from everyone. I suspect things will improve, and not just from our QB.

simple question for simple minded people... what are the defensive players and coaches paid to do? that's right boys and girls, the defense is paid to keep the opposing team off the scoreboard. they didn't do that at the end of the game.

the offense sucked too, but football is not a game of "first team to x amount of points wins".

The other team started on the 8 yard line. 7th string CB Greenwood got beat on 2nd down. Oh well.

Probably but the past two years I bet he's closer to me then lkp.

LKP

How are you not in denial on how poorly Matt played this year.. The kid does not want help does not see that he did anything wrong and blames others.... Kid is freaking so immature it is not funny.. I bet he trips over his happy feet going to the workout room.. Then over throws his sweet towel to the wrong station he is going to next..

And you are trying to argue that matt stafford who led his team to a complete collapse, got his coaches fired, and top 10 pick is better than phillip rivers who led his team to the playoffs in a division with Denver and kc. Who's the idiot?

THIS!

I don't think anybody is saying the defesne is blameless. They did not play good either. But even the biggest Stafford fanboy can't ignore the level of ineptitude on dislplay by him in the 4th quarter of the Lions' most recent late season collapse.

i get that, but what about all the rest of the games.

i'm just pointing out, like you're already aware, that blaming all the losses on the offense, and Stafford particularly, is utterly retarded. there's way more blame to go around, but these dullards don't understand that.

Staff played like dog shit, but he was not responsible for all 7 losses in which we led in the 4th qtr.

Ummm yes it is...denver did it.

BTW they weren't all Staffords fault. Calvin pick against Bucs, tipped picks (Vikings/Giants and Ravens), Hall somehow molesting Calvin on a slant, crazy pick low to Calvin that magically goes to Major Wright.

Stafford=Rivers

Woodhead and Matthews and Gates could catch. Bush couldn't, tighter windows to Calvin and Pettigrew

Royal and Brown could get open. Durham and Broyles couldn't.

How many ints were nor Rivers fault? Did you factor that in? How many great catches helped Stafford? Did you fact that in? How many drops were result of a bad throw for each? What about dropped interceptions? Seems like Stafford lucked out a lot when defenders flat out dropped an interception.

You can't deduct things from one player and magically say they are the same.

If there is anyone who doesn't believe in the afterlife could you make a deal with the devil? I want some playoff wins.

Stafford strength of schedule was weak as hell. Some of the defenses we played gave up 30 points on the regular. Factor that in too. Stafford sucked which is different from saying Stafford sucks, because I hope for all our sakes he turns it around.

Agree with Mitch... Get the devil on the phone.. It's time to sell some soul's for some playoff wins..

Actually Stafford threw a lot of interceptions in the fourth that led to a short field or a pick six to lose the game. I blame the D for the Tampa loss and the coaches for the Phi loss but the other 5 are on a Stafford.

with the exception of the Ravens game, the D should have been able to hold to a FG instead of letting up touchdowns.

the picks still didn't doom the leos (aside from the Giants game with a pick-6) in terms of the loss being squarely on the offense, but the D needed to keep the other team out of the end zone when it counted, and they didn't.

i think people are misunderstanding me on this topic. it was definitely a whole team effort in losing. i just think that blaming it ALL on Stafford is nonsense. Stafford certainly played like dog shit, but to pin it all on him is wrong. the D falling apart when it needed stops the most are also to blame (and i think the D is more to blame, but that might just be me).

nice to hear from someone who knows what they're talking about

Rivers did it with Norv Turner.

But Stafford didn't lead the collapse. Team effort on that one including coaches.

Wow suddenly this is all on Stafford.

Bro, where you been? Its all Staffords fault that the season tanked and coaches got fired. Fn retarded!!
