Lions wanted Ahgolor

Sure when you flat out lie you only get 8. And why ignore FA. He is great in FA. Quin, Tulloch, Ihedigbo, Jason Jones, Bell, Mathis

You are missing some
Swanson
Tomlinson
Waddle is undrafted but a Mayhew pickup from draft prospects
Whitehead or Van Noy

Key backups (possilbe starter or future starter)
Abdullah
Alex Carter
Bentely/Lawson
Webster
Wright

Years of good contributions from draft picks
Suh
Fairley
Delmas
Willie Young

1-2 years contribution in a playoff year
Titus Young rookie then insanity (not Mayhews fault)
Jahvid Best rookie and 2nd (injury not Mayhew's fault)
Spievey rookie and 2nd (concussions, not Mayhew's fault)

Traded draft picks
Rob Sims for 5th
Corey Williams for 5th
Chris Houston for 6th and 7th
Shaun Hill for 7th
Lawrence Jackson for 6th
Ngata for 4th and 5th

Mayhew has been good in the draft and great in FA. 11-5 and a great 2015 roster. Millen Jr is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. you should feel ashamed.

Now add in all the backups.

Remember, in all those picks, Millen got one whole guy who looked like he should be on an NFL roster.

Now I'm not trying to defend Millen, but he did have more than one.

Backus, Raiola, Shaun Rogers, Kalimba, Redding, Andre Goodman, Roy Williams, Ernie Sims, CJ, Manny Ramirez, Gosder, Avril, Felton.

All those players were starters for multiple years.

See LKP you are including an awful lot of players that have never even played a down. Or has done very little in their career (Swanson, Van Noy).

For where Fairly was picked, he was a failure here.

Than you include a few players with injury history, which was the main reason they fell, when they get injured you say not his fault?

I don't think Mayhew is horrible, but he isn't great at drafting. He has more value in FA and trades than he does drafting. Appears he can judge NFL talent that has been in the NFL, but struggles with making the judgement on players that can transition from college to the pros.

Drafted starters on this years team from 2009-2014. Let's throw Van Noy or Whitehead in there 9 of 76. I get it you don't like Millen Jr. How about Millen 2: Search for Curly's Gold

Drafted starters and many other starters and good backups that were here or are here. Suh, Fairley, Delmas, Willie Young, Sammie Lee Hill etc. Many good hits that produced for us.

Draft pick trades were great. FA is great.

Mayhew is a good GM. Millen is a bad GM. It's pretty obvious.

And you're ignoring Suh, Fairley, Delmas and many others. And you're ignoring how great he is with draft day trades and free agency

Mayhew=good GM
Millen=bad GM.
You=idiot for saying Mayhew is Millen Jr.

Fairley was underwhelming. Especially as a top 15 pick..At the end of the day he was average. Didn't do anything his rookie year. 30 starts here, yeah. Had the potential but that's it. Delmas was an idiot. He did little and when he did do something it was followed by a 15 yard stupid penalty.

If those things are what you're hanging your Mayhew hat on I don't know what to say.

Fairley was good in 2012/2013 and a beast in early 2014. Pressure and run D.

Who cares if he was a beast for a few games here and there. For a top 15 pick he was average. Maybe that's why he fell? Should have trusted Monster who did not like this pick..trust in the Monster.

Mini Millen..

He was not average. he was a top DT those years and 2014.

No he wasn't. Not even close. Maybe I missed those all pro years, lol.

You are a terrible assessment of talent. Terrible.

I think what you meant to say was Mayhew is terrible assessment of talent.

Nick Fairley is so good he got a big 1 year 5m deal. Ooh, SCORE!!

He was still a good player. He could have been elite which is why he was let go. Weight and motivation.

Mayhew is an incredible GM. We are lucky to have him. I'm unlucky to have to deal with your misinformed assessment of him and Fairley and many of the Lions good players.

Weight and motivation along with injuries? Those are the things that make him average.

"Well gee, if it wasn't for this weight and motivation and him hurt all the time, Mitch, he'd be good." Lol.

He played well. He did not play average. He was never rated an average DT.

Good pass rush and run D. 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Average, 1 year $5,000,000.

Score!!!!

Top 5 DT in 2012 and top 10 DT in 2013 and would have been top 5 or 10 if not for injury in 2014. And with incentives could go up to 7 or 8 million.

And Best would have been a hall of famer if not for concussions. Oh btw, the same injury he had before Mayhew drafted him.

Best played 22 games without getting hurt again. He had his head slammed off the turf. Best was a stud talent. We needed a great RB talent like that in 2010. End of 1st using your 2nd and 4th round value is when you take that risk. Helped us for playoffs in 2011. Great pick by Mayhew with bad luck.
