Minicamp notes

Bad weather affects passing games. Blizzards especially. It got worse in Pittsburgh at the very end for those last 8 passes. Just giving you all the facts and context. Brady sucked in his monsoons this year.

we play in a fucking dome you moron....

I too believe Andrew Luck is overrated.

Overated yet he leads a shitty roster to the playoffs. What does that mean for a #1 overall that has a stacked roster on a team picked to consistently do well....yet fails miserably over and over and over again? Damn...must mean you fucking suck pretty bad...

I wouldn't say he's overrated, maybe a bit overhyped. But he's been a solid QB for two years. And best of yet he's cheap as hell.

Leading a team to an incredible playoff comeback in his second year is more than anything Stafford has ever done. And the Colts are not exactly a team oozing with talent. You can tell watching Luck the way he plays that he's going to be a great QB. I still haven't gotten that from Stafford.

I find it odd that Houston hasn't even shown up....to ANYTHING this offseason. Hurt toe 8 months ago and he cant even sit on a sideline yet?....something is off.

.

hmmmm....this guy above really knows what hes talking about

LKP: Houston is the best cb in the league. Injuries slowed him down. This year he will recover and we will again be the best secondary in the league. Better talent than SEA.

Unfortunately, LKP doesn't have any clue what hes talking about. ever...

Injuries. Can't predict them. Houston was a good CB.

I always know more than you hughes. And I know the reason he was cut due to injuries and availability. See Delmas and Burleson cuts too. Injured talent is going out the door.

He was so good they released him with 5.2 dead money..3 months before the season starts.

They wanted cap room and he wasn't going to be able to play. It makes alot of sense. Not worth the money due to injuries.

And you realize they waited until after June 1st for a reason. I'll explain it to you if you don't understand. You can just ask me if you need help understanding this.

Houston sucks, they want nothing to do with him even if he gets healthy. Bet he never plays a down in the nfl again. He was good enough to start for one of the worst secondaries in the league for a few years, and he's not anymore because of the young depth on the team. Get over it

What isn't getting through to your thick skull..He wasn't released because of an injury. Man are you dense.

Chris Houston underwent a significant medical procedure this spring," the Lions said in a statement. "Both parties felt that the best course of action at this time is to release Chris and allow him to rehabilitate his injury away from the Club. The Lions appreciate Chris' contributions over the years and wish him the best in his recovery."

Clearly not at all

Debate the fact if he was good or not who cares, but it's not debatable that he was the best corner on our roster for years. And is still a better option than jonte green and others when healthy. He was released due to injury.

BEST CB by default..

I'm not saying be wasn't injured..But a toe injury from months ago, and you release now 3 months before the season starts? Are they saying be wasn't going to get better anytime soon? The dude was released because he had nothing left..

He has a degenerative toe condition since high school. Apparently it is an on and off thing. Must not be looking good. It sucks, but it happens.

Houston, who suffers from a degenerative condition in his foot that has been an off-and-on issues since high school, expressed doubt that he’d be 100% by the time the season opened during an interview with the Free Press last month.

Okay. But I can't imagine you resign a guy, last year, to releasing him 3 months before the season on a on again off again injury. Obviously the coach wants to go in another direction. They didn't want to wait..And it doesn't suck, many of us are happy about this.

I am not happy that we are putting more of our season on a 34 year old cornerback. Nothing excites me about this. But I get why we have to. It was obviously a mistake giving him a long term deal. But as far as I know the toe didn't affect him much in prior years, must have really acted up lately.

Bet Mathis is not starting by the midway point of the season. Greenwood or Green will do just fine. I'd put money on the secondary being much better than it was last year. You guys need to have some faith in these young guys.

I should have faith based on what..? Greenwood hasn't done jack shit..
