Suh suitors

Not a clue on how Jerry could do it but don't be surprised if Dal makes a run for Suh...

I doubt it..
Dez and Murray both UFA, among others
If detroit doesn't sign Suh my guess all along is Seattle

But, but, but....Stafford IS the franchise QB!!! Just like Wayne Fontes is the winningest coach in Lions history despite being under .500, Stafford is the Lions all time QB leader in numerous stats despite a sub .500 record and zero playoff wins. The Lions just have a different definition of "Greatness".

Ok, genius. Enlighten us then. Who do they bring in at QB? Who besides Russel Wilson have the Lions "missed" on or "should have" brought in?

Funny how people on here just call Suh "another DT". He's a once in a lifetime talent and he makes other players better on that defense.
You franchise him and work on a deal to keep him long term. Make it work.

So just get rid of him??? lol. Your stupidity is mind blowing .....wow.

Tagging him is stupidity. And there's no guarantee he signs long term or did you not notice the last year in which no deal was done. Continue with the insults just means you're clueless. 27m, lol.

I would sincerely hope that if.. IF.. they tag him, it's because they were close on a deal last off-season, and just couldn't get over the hump before it was time to focus on football.

If they tag him and they are starting over from square one, we're going to take $27MM up our asses.

Just saw that. Hope it is true but I will believe it when it actually happens.

Didn't they say that last season? If true though I'm still not sure I like seeing a DT get paid that much..

Honestly with the new TV deal and the salary cap expected to sky rocket off of it in the next few years. I expect a lot of positions to start getting more money than expected.

I see in 3-5 years QBs getting ~230 Million over 7 years. Which is a huge increase and the other positions will just follow suit.

As seen on various websites including PFT, in two years the salary cap will likely be 160 million. Nearly 30 million more than what it is currently.

Also the first few years of the TV will likely (as usual) garner a huge amount of cash flow for the NFL. Even though the new deal started this year, it's actual affects won't happen till next year (salary cap goes off revenue from the previous year). So even though the cap looks to increase between 3-9 million this offseason (without the added revenue), the next few seasons after will be at least double each year.

I'm curious what makes any of you think we can win with Suh? We haven't yet.

So by that logic.....every team should dump all its players every year they don't win because they haven't won with those players. Right??

You'd be a great GM.

"Well, we're 33-31 with J.J. Watt.....barely .500.......guess we can't win with him.....cut him!"

See how stupid that sounds, Millen??

LMAO

Welcome to 3-weeks ago. If we sign him you'll see. You'll see how hamstring we'll be.

Word on ESPN is that the Lions are suddenly the favorites to sign Suh.

I have no idea whats going on anymore.

"So, Suh" - Reporter.

"Yeah, we want him here." - Lewland.

<reporter rushes to office>

Lions are favorites to land Suh..

Guy had a $22.4M cap hit this last year......it didn't hamstring us.

Not sure why you think a lower immediate cap number and an ever rising salary cap in the future would change that.

Yes, I'm still beaming from our playoff success. Oh wait.

Because he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. That's why.

Seattle still needs to sign Russell. he's getting paid. And they already offered Lynch a nice contract. No way on Earth Suh goes to Seattle.
