The official combine thread

Wow, Le'veon Bell just ran a 4.52 at his size. Just helped himself a lot.

ya that definitely helps him. Bernard on the other hand ran a 4.5 and is supposed to be the "speed back". Could hurt him. Ball is slow as balls. Those 3 guys could still be battling for 2nd RB off the board.

Ontario McCaleb 4.21
Stephon Taylor couldn't out run an OT.
Gio Bernard you're dead to me.

Backed it up with a 4.56. The RB from Auburn just ran an unofficial 4.21.

Andre Ellington 4.61? He's even deader to me than Bernard.

so there are only 2 true speed backs and both have major injury concerns. can't wait to move back into the bottom of R1 to grab one of them!!! #5 pick, burner at WR followed by late R1 pick of one of the speed backs spells SUPER BOWL!

Yeah Baby!!!

maybe the large number of DEs means we can snag someone in R3

bottom line: Lions are fucked at RB...again

what about that Franklin kid out of UCLA? any thoughts about his potential as a Lion???

Franklin is a quality back. Showed good speed today. His knock is he isn't a great pass protector, which of course can be problematic when you throw 800 times a year. I have seen a few news articles linking him to us.

Personally outside of Lacy, who still has to perform at his pro day, I wouldn't touch a RB until the fourth. Bernard Gisilee Franklin Davis all second tier guys, one of them will be there take your pick which one you like. Davis helped his stock the most today.

I actually laughed my ass off at that throwing 800 times comment. Then curiousity got the best of me and I looked it up. Didn't realize how f'n close that number was. 740 times!!! Yikes!

Bjoen Werner
Tavon Austin
Jonathan Franklin

Re-sign Houston and Delmas and get a guy like Cason or Toler. Bentley, Greenwood and Green will develop

Austin just guaranteed himself a late first.

he caught the ball well today and looked comfortable running routes. Gillislee dropped a pass that hit him right in the hands. Bell actually looked good catching the ball too. Thought franklin looked the best out of the "speed backs." Probably wouldn't take him in the 3rd though. maybe hope to trade up from your late 4th comp pick into the early 4th to take him.
