Tired of talking about 2013 and before.....

Like Fox did.

I'm curious if we always seem to have injuries why is 2014 going to be different..?

2011 we did not until the last 6 at DB only really. Oline and weapons perfectly healthy along with Stafford, Dline (other than rookie Fairley) and LBs.

Fox didn't. That has nothing to do with Bentley or Broyles or Greenwood. Everyone is different.

Nice way too not answer the question. Lol. So 6 games plus two seasons of players getting hurt but miraculously this season they're going to stay healthy?

...!...

Enough can stay healthy. Give me top 10 in lleast games lost and the Lions will do much better. If not I think we finally have the coaching to handle the injuries better now.

Mathis and Ihedigbo can get hurt and we could win 10-11.

I actually want Slay/Greenwood to be the starters but Greenwood needs to get over the hernia issue.

Greenwood? What the hell has he done to think he can even play in the NFL let alone be a starter? A lousy two games..

And when we signed Ihedigbo you said it was a "very good" sign and yet now he doesn't matter..lol.

Ihedigbo will help positively for sure. He matters but I think we are better to handle injuries now. Just an example

How can we handle injuries better, outside him the secondary is the same.

Another LKP "IF" thread...see Ink's post for an up to date summary.

Exactly. He better be the next Jimmy Graham. These guys would be happy if he turned out to be next Jim Dray.

The first year Graham started at TE full time in this offense (his second year in the league...what Ebron will be doing this year) he produced 1300 and 11 on 150 targets. The Koolaide man should be predicting at least 1000 and 8.

Better be? Or what, you'll take your ball and go home? lol. He needs to produce like Jimmy fn Graham in year one or he's a bust? I see the ridiculous train rolled through your place and picked you up.....holy fk. Cmon man.....geezus

Pure fn ignorance on this board. If Ebron doesn't put up Jimmy Graham type numbers, he's a bust? Shows real lack of knowledge of the game.....wow. He's a fn rookie. Do i expect the kid to succeed? Yes, but no way do i "expect" him to put up humongous numbers just yet. I expect him to do some big things though and mostly take a lot of pressure off CJ and co. You clowns are delusional. Go ahead though...it gives you momos another reason to bitch when he doesn't put up Madden type numbers.....fn pathetic.

My bad..I should have said the ones who will get some PT. Not long shot rookies.

If he doesn't produce this year...luxury pick. Producing like you said Tony can be CJ going for 2K or him and Tate both going for 1500 or the run game blasting off. But his addition has to make an impact on an offense and a team that through their own admission is in win now mode, not rebuilding, not already a winner with a full complement. We should be 2011 good or Mayhew failed as reflected by the team he put together. Failed in his draft picks - not just Ebron's lack of impact but Stafford as well - failed in his FAs - not just on offense but his band aid defense - and failed in his 'choice' of coaching staff. So yes in a team that is in win now mode who runs a NO offense should expect NO production. I'll predict we go for 5000 yards and 41 passing touchdowns...if not our offense is a bust....does that work better for you Cappy?

We don't need 5,000 and 41. I agree that is the offenses potential though. 4,700 yards and 30 passing tds can do the trick especially if turnovers are reduced by about 10

I'm not dealing in hypothetical ifs here, homes. If this offense isn't as good or better than 2011 Mayhew should take his ball and go home...to borrow Tonys expression. I think that's the low end of production...on the high end we should be more like the 2013 Broncos. Middle a super charged Saints of ever year. I mean that is the only conclusion when you have

The best receiver since Rice drafted 1.2 overall.
A Qb that put up 5000 and 41 but was unlucky and had his teammates choke drafted 1.1 overall.
A Super Bowl winning running back that went for 1000 last year and we are paying 16 mil over four years drafted 1.2 overall
An 'all around' TE we are paying 16 mil over four years who caught nearly 800 yards in 2011 drafted 1.20 overall
A TE we drafted at 1.10 overall to be the stud if the century.
The #1 receiver on last years Super Bowl winner.

And were shooting to be the Aaron Rodgerless Packers of 2013 stat wise on offense? Am I the slappy here?

The offense has immense potential. Pettigrew and bush aren't on big deals really. Stafford has everything he needs. 4700 and 30 tds is still a big year. That will get us playoffs.

The defense will do its part. Top 5 pressure again with the sacks this time, good lbs and above average secondary play with health finally

Stafford has everything he needs.

Stafford is the only quarterback in history to play with 4 first round picks on offense. Three top 3 picks. 4 top ten. 5 in the first round including him...please fact check that for me genius.

So he has everything he needs like i said. And 4700 and 30 tds is really good genius.
