2015 Cap

To get the staff, cj, tate, Quinn restructure amounts the team would have to put up $18.5 mil.
Fairley will cost 6 mil per year/avg or more and $6 min SB.
prater will cost 2 mil
mulbach 1 mil
the 2014 rookies for the 23rd pick for each round Was $4.25 cap, $7.15 in SB, first 6 rounds

This would give us 45 players with 8 to sign, which includes possibly a starting DE. The 8 can't all be vet min.
we have a min of $32 in SB paid.
cap $12 mil, less $11.25mil
(fairley(say $4mil cap 1st yr), prater, muhl, rookies) leaves less than 1 mil to sign 8 players and practice squad

We have 52 under contract right now. We have the room and cash. Cash that will be paid over course of season anyway.

We have a bunch of practice squad guys added, c'Mon

Top 51 rule. Draft picks round 3-7 and guys like muhlbach, or orlovsky, Abdul quddus, Collins are pretty much the same cost. None to very little cap space. Vet min deduction rule.

Most of our free agents.

Fairley I could see taking up 3 million in cap space like tate did.

Suh we can give 100 million deal and have a ton of space

Per spotrac none of these guys are added in their cap figures. Sure guys can costs as ltitle as $500,000, if you need 8 that's $4mil, we've blown through way more money then your taging of Suh allows...now your talking signing Suh, what happened to the tag? Or have you saw the light that it isn't realistic

This is what I would prefer over tagging and/or re-signing Suh to some ridiculous contract.
per spotrac we would have $23 mil without Suh
6 rookies $4.25mil
Fairley, 6yrs , $42m. $4.0 mil
Mosley,[email protected]. $1.5mil
prater. $2.0 mil
muhl. $0.8mil
Iupati, 5@$35 mil. $3.5mil
Perrish Cox,4@18 $2.5mil
JPPaul, 5@45. $4.5mil
trade Suh for 1st pick
add 1st round pick. $1.75mil
Still leaves $2.5 in cap space without cutting anyone or re-structuring anyone
so it's Suh for a first round pick, JPP, Iupati and Perrish Cox or even an upgrade because Bush could be cut leaving $4.25 on cap space.

And you believe he'd really cry? Just like we all have felon gun charges in America.

Why don't you believe he'd cry?? lol. You're a fkn joke. The guy was emotional after a football game. A football game they should have won. Suh could have walked out to the podium dressed up in a kangaroo costume. He's still getting PAID regardless what he said, how he looked, if he cried, if he laughed. It didn't matter....
And i never said everybody has felon gun charges in America. I said it's common that people walk around with guns or just own a gun(s)

Trade Suh???? lol. You have to franchise him first

Spotrac has Suh's base salary which will void. Take that away and add 6 million and there is almost a million in carryover. They all agree.

It's not 4 million extra on the cap. Top 51 rule. It's the futures deal guy drops off counting on the cap and Muhlbach/Mathis/Collins/IAQ replaces him.

Yes, I'd give him a non exclusive tag and ask for a first round pick when another team signs him

Suh is more important than any of those guys. 16 million per the Lions can easily handle and still get some free agents with the cuts/restructures.

Adding 5.3 million to 2016/2017 from restructures is not a big deal since we have very little committed. Only 101 million plus the 2015 draft (4 million).

They have 40 contracts listed, take out suh, bush, jones and tulloch u have 36.
add fairley, 4mil, prater & muhl, 2.8mil, 6 draft picks, 4.25mil, that's 11 mill right there, with 8 roster spots to go, 4mil, your in the hole by close to 3 mil..dig yourself out

I'm signing two all pro's with multiple pro bowls with a potential of another if u upgrade my CB free agent...

We can get Suh, Fairley and a guard with the resturctures/cuts on top of the 17 million in room to start. Especially if Suh is on a long term deal not the franchise tag.

Mathis, Prater back and draft a CB and RB. Complete team.

But Mayhew can find another Warford in the draft too if we don't want to go the guard FA route.

There are 52 playeres under contract. Look at the netrat breakdown. Same number of almost 17 million in room. That includes everybody and takes out Suh base.

123-3+6 million (futures deals)=126 committed. 142 cap + 1 million carryover.

17 million in room to start.

You can stay in fantasy land, I'm realistic, they have 40 players signed who could all make the roster, we have 13 to add without subtracting anyone out...
So we're done talking about Suh and his 26.7 number? Just checking

They have 52 players signed. That is reality.

The free agents we sign just swap out the lowest paid contract. They will be similar numbers for many of our free agents and draft picks. Minimal extra space needed for that swap. Once you understand then, then you can understand the cap.

Suh 26.7 million number we can easily handle.

Like I said 21 million from cuts/restructures.

17+21=38 million in room. Plenty of space.
