I was ready to move on from the Pettigrew experiment, but for this deal i'll take it. Good friendly deal and the TE class is weak this year IMO. Ebron at #10 would have been fn terrible actually. The combo of Pettigrew and Fauria should be a lot better this year.

Give me an example of where Mayhew has left himself in a good position to negotiate with key players - a hint it's come up three times so far Avril, Stafford, CJ.

D. Lather rinse repeat for Suh for his fourth balls up, which will go either A or C.

Add in the fact that the franchise tag is supposed to give you leverage, and this has to be the first time in the history of the franchise tag where it isn't an option because of the ass clownery of the front office. BTW GB just signed Raji (who isn't on Suh's level but can be used as an example) for 4 mil. McCoy is up too, think TBay is panicking?

Peppers should get the same.....the over 30 DE market is not what it once was.....see john Abraham or Dwight freeney that had to wait forever to get a deal and he got a 1 year deal worth peanuts. Sure...it only takes 1 team to overpay for someone like peppers....but the "market" for him is right around 5 mil per.

If that is the case then why are they going after Vet Minimum players? After Tate every onther player that has visited is a player that will be paid near the vet minimum.

Everyone says they can create this cap space if they want, I argue they would have done it already before the start of free agency.

In my opinion it is all low level players untill Suh does his deal then they may pick up a few summer cuts and thats it.

We didn't have a ton of holes when it comes to starters going into FA. We needed WR, S, DE, TE, OLB(Palmer?), RT?(waddle?). CB DE isn't going to get fixed in FA but in the draft. WR was with Taint, TE with Pett, that leaves S OLB RT and depth. S is the only spot were we might still get a decent FA and they have a guy they want but there is some BS hold up. Were going to see what we can get in the draft. I see CB, DE, S as our top 3 needs along with another WR, if we can't fill those holes in the draft we will with June cuts.

GB....a rival 3-4 team that never does anything in FA....overpaid a 4-3 DE slightly. Nicks, and peppers were 2 of my targets for this team. If you cant afford 5.5 mil and 7.5 mil for 2 targets that would greatly improve your team....than youre not doing your job very well. Instead....we have Tate (a slight upgrade over Burleson) and Pettidrop (who according to tony is aging cause hes over 26).....excuse me if im not thrilled with the way the offseason is going.

Tate is a slight upgrade? He's younger, better hands, blocks like a truck, play STs, hard to tackle and way faster. He's a HUGE upgrade over Burleson.

And Pettigrew I'm on the fence with, but as of right now, there is nobody in the draft who can do his job better right now. Him and Bazooka Joe are a nice compliment.
